@kothor

read your problem...try to do a mater reset "RESET ALL" thingy on your phone but before doing so back up your contacts to your sim via "copy to sim" in the phonebook menu.

This may solve your query...was the unit dropped or got wet through moisture?

Hi all,
I've just won a used HBH-10 on eBay.
Does anybody know if the battery can be replaced?
If the unit can be opened than it's a matter of find the proper battery, and I've found a place in my hometown that sells an incredible amount of NiMh batteries. I've easily replaced my HBH-200 batteries and I'm hoping it won't be that hard with the HBH-10.
Thanks.
Cheers.
My collection: SE P800/Z1010/T630/Z600/T68i/M600i/Z250i/P1i/G900, Ericsson T39m/T39mc/T65/T65proto, Nokia 6600/6680/8210

@elsapo As far as i know, HBH-10/15 uses LiPol or LiIon batteries(don't remember actually), someone has told me that if their batt will go wrong, it will be nothing to do rather than to put them into the trash, hope that is not true, but i'm trying not to use my hbh-15 to save it for my children
@bleurdeur I'm afraid to do it, i don't know its unblocking code, maybe it's 0000, and what if not? I've bought it "as is", without any warranty, with chinese charger in really-really bad condition. It understands the caller phone and shows its name and phone number, but phone book is dead. Actually i just found out that it's vibra doesn't work for about two weeks, after falling out of mom's pocket. If it will die, what would i do with new T68 faceplate ?

@boba & @kothor

The HBH-200 batteries were so easy to replace, I needed a solder, and a solid hand. In my hometown the former Ericsson Sevice Point (now SE) does not ship the headset to the lab, but somewhere else it is possible to get the batteries replace for around 20€.
That's the reason why I've serched the net for a Golden Peak italian dealer (that's the brand). The place they have suggest me has an incredible amount of batteries, not GP only, so I'm pretty much confident...

The HBH-10 eBay seller declares that the batteries are still in good condition, but if possible I'll try to replace them anyway.

I'll post the workflow, if any!!!

Thanks.
Cheers.

@elsapo those good old /// headsets should work years long, if they are charged usually on the same way.

@kothor, maybe you can try to delete all thd contacts in the menu phonebook option. Phone will not be locked if a wrong code is entered.

Have seen only R520 Prototype with phone menu interface in Chinese. Those ones were given to operators for test purpose before GPRS launched officially. Guess it was the only one prototype available with Chinese interface. Not necessary to do it if not for operators needs. Some companies in China mainland and Taiwan had cooperations with Ericsson. Among these, one company was called GVC formerlly. It has another name now.

@Tiger Do you have big photos of R380 internals? Just want to look at those 2xStrongARMs and RAMs. Those pics you have on your site are quite small and can't see anything interesting there. Thx.

Weird, that in r380 there has to be removed a screw to reach the aerial.

background pics for the r380 aren't possible. But there's an app from /// to change the startup animation on r380.

And I think it might be possible to exchange the operator name versus a graphic, but this would mean to make a hard change to the firmware.
