Reading the posts for some time, it very much strikes me that you chaps that have already got your P990s have paid a premium price to be beta testers.
I'l be buying mine when it is all sorted but in the meantime I'd just like to thenk you all both from myself and on behalf of Sony Ericsson (I'm sure they'll never thank you themselves) for all the work that you are putting in and for paying for the privilege.

Well im going to put it this way, there will always be little problems/niggles with this phone. Question is whether or not you can live with them and i for one can and im sure alot of p990i owners feel the same. SE will fix most of them through updates thats a certain but ive yet to come across someone saying that they dont like the p990i after using it. It may have its problems but its got to be one of the best phones out on the market at the moment in my opinion.
Its a shame that people like you cant see that but then there are always people who will have a little pop at something they cannot have/afford . |

I have to agree even though I do not have mine yet. If you want to be at the forefront of technology and make the most of new gadgets, there is a small (and sometimes expensive) price to pay, but hey, we want to goodies and there will always be money, so putting up with the bugs is about the sum total of short term frustrations, much overshadowed by being able to use the latest and most often best gadgetry out there !
Now hurry up supplier and give me mine!!

Hehe in a way i quite enjoy finding bugs and letting people know or confirming with them that im having the same problems as them. I know that SE are out there listening either through here or through my-symbian forums where Michal has contacts within SE if i remember correctly.
The way i see it is that the bugs are there but they are liveable as the phone still works and works well. |

Currently I have SE K750i and can send/receive AOL and Gmail via push email using the GPRS. Can P990i do the same thing? (IMAP or POP3).
Thank you. |

Isn't push email a feature where the email will be pushed to your phone automatically when for example gmail receives it? Does the P990i have this feature? Or does it just pull the emails every hour or whatever time increment you ask for it to be pulled at?

This might be a stupid question, but I'd still like to know the anwser:
with all the debates on the battery size and if one should wait for the bst-34 batch I was amazed to see that my p910 has a bigger battery. Would it be possible to use that in the p990 and if yes, what would happen? :)

interesting thought but the contacts are in a different position and they are different size (P910 used BST-15)
