Damn bradboy, where have you been mate? The cricket was actually ok, granted I watched in it bits and pieces...I still think 250 is attainable.
How is T300 keeping up? I miss that ugly brick.

V600i is absolutely killer...soon they should start offering it on PAYG, I'm guessing it'll be under R2000.
What's happening in that damp smelly armpit, otherwise known as eThekwini?

Guys I've not been hanging out in the Rumours forum a lot because of al the BS posted there but I have to say that they're onto something good. For the past couple of days pictures albeit spy shots have emerged of the "K800" and they're looking pretty spot-on.
I never quite liked the K750 which I feel was a rip-off apart from the 2Mp cam, and expandable memory.
Still don't know whether there'll be a slight upgrade for the K750 a la W810i. This one looks good and it's possible it will be announced in the next couple of months which rules out a W810i clone.
All I can say is: "I want, I want, I want"...Better start saving up for this one which I guess should be available locally around July/August.

Just thinking back, about a year ago the K750 and W800 were announced/ launched simultaneously.
Now the replacements for these 2 seem to have gone their separate ways, both in specs, launch times and market availability.

@ brix,
Yeah, I forgot to also mention the aesthetic differences between the 2 replacements in this previous post.
The less said about the cricket the better... ...suffice to say that Brett Lee being able to 'bowl' the SA batters like that was a classic demonstration of someone truly at the top of their game. |

@bradboy: I'm over the cricket...I thought they would make it but clearly Brett Lee had other ideas...he was devestating though...felt sorry for the new guy who stepped off a plane after a 24 hour flight to be facing the firing squad in his first game for SA.
@da wanqsta: I dig the black...it doesn't look too bling, just subdued enough to make a statement without shouting a thousand words. I doubt they'll put a 3,2 mp camera in this one- something tells me it will make the phone prohibitively expensive.
In other news, I see Google has launched a mobile version of Google Maps...seems like initially it will only be available for those in the US but we should get it sooner or later.

@786KBR: It's 3G broer, 3G..Why they couldn't bring out the K750 with 3G is a mystery.
Like I said before, I want this one...definitely, want it.

My boet opted to swop the Samsung Z500 for a 6630, plus an adjustment. His main reasoning was that he needed something Symbian, on which he can install an app that will allow him to read his office mail on the move. He's now installed QuickOffice, a nifty programme that allows you to open, edit and send Excel, Word, PowerPoint docs, etc. That, together with alwaysonmail's SevenMail has made him a very happy chappie indeed.
How's everybody's weekend shaping up?

Good to hear your boet made the switch to Symbian. Honestly, I don't know what I'm doing this weekend...if anyone's got suggestions, I'm all ears.

Talking of which, I have come to realise that I have not wanted ANY phone after I got myself the 9500 last year!
Its so unlike me. None of the numerous phones released in the last 8 months have roused my interest as it used to be. Not even when the phones were/are the rave of the moment. What has happened to me, if anyone can diagnose??

I can't diagnose your condition but this new looks as if it could be a classic in the mould of the T68m and T610.

@kryptic: Your boet certainly made a sound choice, IMO A smartphone for work and play on the move....
I also use Smartner's Always-OnMail on my 9500. Excellent pushmail functionality.
BTW, what's "boet"

@AYA: boet comes from the Afrikaans for brother(broer).
