Hmmm, Lucky you, I guess that means we'll be in touch. How was the road trip?

No Seinsho, I don't know what. Enlighten me.
Its boxing day all, this is the only day that you can confidently punch someone in the face or groin, without fear of reprisal.

@Remi: I've been trying to resend the mms without success.
@Aya: Got your SMS, same thing you said when you crossed over to starcomms data service, we'll be right here whenever you decide to return. Seasons greetings.
@Angel: softly softly with the "ofe owerri" and "orha"

I save between 15k and 20k monthly on internet access expenses by opting for CDMA in place of GPRS. Looking through my phone bills this year, it occured to me that I can save between another 5k and 15k monthly by switching from GSM.

Yes; even Starcomms is not perfect (just as the GSM guys are not), but why must I waste as much as 45k in some months when there are cheaper alternatives? It has occured to me that 45k is way above what a lot of people take home per month.

Jab all you like (afterall its boxing day) , but my bank accounts and investment portfolios are the better for my decisions. Plus, my wife and kids will love me the more, if you get my drift...

@Aya: apart from calls to other land lines, I do not see considerable savings being made by switching from GSM to cdma. Remember the PTO's do not offer per second billing, so each dropped call, calls terminated at voicemail, or calls under 20seconds duration will all be billed at N20-N25per min. In the long run, you'll end up spending as much as you did with GSM plus you have lost the option of free mms and sms. Thumbs Down

Bang! You hit the nail on the head. My business calls are to organizations and individuals who have Fixed or Mobile Wireless lines.

As it is, even a sizeable chunk of my personal, non-business contacts that I would have had to call at N29 per minute on Starcomms have acquired either Fixed Wireless or Mobile Wireless lines on a number of CDMA networks. Now we talk with one another for no more than N9 per minute and often for absolutely nothing (Starcomms on-net calls). Another 4 of my friends gave me their Starcomms and Reltel mobile numbers just on Saturday alone.

I expected that it would have occured to you that a highly intelligent person like myself would have taken all factors into consideration.

No; dear friend; its a win-win situation for me

You guys sticking with GSM are fast becoming an endangered species
