Damn, how those prices do plummet over there, Wanqa. Wish we'd follow suit.

W900 should be available locally in a couple of weeks according to vodacom3g, a poster at MyADSL.

@786KBR: I hang out mostly at the Vodacom thread, the name is still similiar to the one I use on Esato.

I'm trying to check when there's a Wi-Fi grid going up in my area as getting ADSL is too much of a pain in the arse because I live in rented accomodation.

EDIT: Just browsed through the Incredible Connection catalogue and I see they've got the W800 for R3000 including Vodacom starterpack...Is it just me or is this the start of a price drop because the last time I check the phone was retailing for around R3400.

Yep, V3x is actually one of the Moto's that look most appealing to me...I think it's the fact that it boasts 3G.

Apparently Vodacom is in the final stages of testing it for network compatibility and it should be available in a couple of months. It will probably have a massive price drop like it's older sibling the V3- 6 months after release.

Just picked up that Incredible Connection catalogue too... There's a local shop selling the N70 for R4200 and the N90 for R5200... Don't trust them though, they've a reputation for dodgy dealings...

Also to add to what the krypsta said, I don't want to diss small dealers but I prefer to shop with one of the three networks when buying my phone.

I just called S E SA and they say w900 out early feb and w810 out april p990 may.but what i find interesting is that at launch they were selling w800 for R3500 and still same price.although their reasoning is quite obvious coz i noticed in past few weeks that normal average joe south african's going crazy for the phone!

The K750 and W800 cam's are (apparently) known to take better pics than the N90, ably assisted by the autofocus.
Now then,I'd love to see what pics that K750 replacement in the rumours thread will be able to take, with its 3.2MP cam.

Just thinking back, about a year ago the K750 and W800 were announced/ launched simultaneously.
Now the replacements for these 2 seem to have gone their separate ways, both in specs, launch times and market availability.

@Rhino: In a couple of weeks I'll be in Bloem visiting a friend, we could probably hook-up for some coffee...I'll most probably be staying around Dale College.

@Falcon: If you've been following discussions on Esato, you would've seen that the price of the W800 actually increased months after it had been released. But yeah, I've actually seen more people with the phone recently.
