Hey chaps, did not want to bother you with this 'childish things' but I guess is better for me and Brix, if you take notice. Here is a copy of the message posted in the 'SE and EDGE' tread: As a introduction- I was warning a fellow Esatonian (Romanian) not to swear at other forum members , even if it is in a language they don't understand, and this was Brix's reply:

@Brix, however strange it may sound, I like SE, especially their inovative ideas (I guess that's why I am here). Actually is Nokia and Microsoft I don't particularly like (althou I believe that both Windows and S60 are winning numbers)? Do you understand what 'curmurdar' means ? Do you understand what he said ? I am sure you don't. While we debate and discuss lots of points in this forum, I and others, do it in a 'civilized' manner. Just go to the Romanian forum and ask one of the chaps to translate it for you. He is swearing at just about anyone 'friend and foe'. I felt I had to defend a fellow South African, I should have defendet you aswell given the (legitimate) chance. It 'smells bad' to make comments and assumptions about things said, while you haven't got a clue what they really mean! You have done this before with me, if I remember right, and I did forgive you, but I won't do it forever, even if you are a fellow South African, with all what comes around it.

You are right, probably I should'nt have :-) Ironically you are the 'fellow South Africa' to whom the 'other' chap swore ;-) Anyway I regard the matter as closed and I won't comment about this anymore. :-)

We could've kept it in the "SE and EDGE" thread. I don't think my reply was offensive, just an observation from reading many of your posts which has been noted by other posters as well. They generally have a negative slant.
What urks me is the fact that you diss something when you've never used it and don't intend using it.
Comment can be subjective but should at all times be fair.
And no, I don't like Sony...just happen to like certain phones made by a company called SonyEricsson.

PS: Finally managed to get my brother's C65 hooked up to MTN GPRS...Cell C officially sucks.

I prefer Panasonic although I've got a soft spot for Sony's HDV camera which would be my ideal video camera.
Generally Sony's products are overpriced for the features they offer...just my opinion.

One thing that's always bothered me is why Cell C settings are so impossible to get. The one and only time i tried to get settings onto my phone, i first had to send an sms for which i was charged. When that failed to work, i called Customer Services, who then sent settings which did jack. I finally went into one of their branches, and challenged them to not only get the settings right on my phone, but to also send an mms, seeing that their promotion was on with free mms at that time. Pity i didn't bet money on it, since all the king's horses, nor all the king's men couldn't get it to work... The service has probably been jacked up since, but once i've had poor service from a company i'm not likely to give them my custom a second time.

@Falcon: You can trawl through this thread and won't find much negative I said about Cell C before my weekend posts. Their user guide that come with their prepaid phones does not mention wap,mms...They've had those services close to a year now. How many customers have they lost because of their poor service?
With MTN and Voda getting your settings is sinple as punching in a USSD code and voila, settings get delivered to your phone.

@786KBR: Wait until the PS3 lands on our shores...no prices have been announced yet but I'm expecting it to be pretty expensive. I guess most people will only buy it for Christmas 2006.

@kryptik: Seems like the two of us are in total agreement on Cell C's poor service. I would've taken the phone to the Cell C shop where I bought it but thought it best not to...the guy probably wouldn't have a clue. They charge you R2 to get the MMS settings which is absolutely retarded.

I wonder how they're coping with "mobile broadband" when they can't even send the GPRS/MMS settings to my phone.

Brix i think maybe only the rich and famous will be able to afford the PS3 in Dec 2006, i think ill get one in Dec 2008!!!! Apprently its gonna be about R5000!!!! but u know prices tend to be exagerated before any launch...

You still dont think those features will be worth paying for??? they gonna fly of the shelves like they always do... check the psp for egsample more than a PS2 but still selling!!

LOL@ KBR786...2008 is too far off...it's going to be definite gift for 2006. Sony actaully don't make money on the consoles they sell, the real money is in games publishing.

Talking about Games Publishing... are there any firms in SA that create game titles? On any platform.
