The C905 i had developed a problem with the D-pad 3 weeks after i brought it from CPW. It had become slightly hard to press down; then eventually very stiff and then it didn't work!!! i say the fault developed in week 2. I was confused to way this fault had developed as i take care in handling my phones, so it has of been a design fault or something.

I took the phone back to CPW and got it replaced on the same day without any questioned asked. I did enquire if this was a common fault , which in turn the sale person said it was an unique problem. so upon reading another post with this problem being mentioned i guess the problem isn't unique.

my new c905 is working fine now; its been a week now, but i'm still very mindful that the problem may arise again.

So if anyone has developed this problem on your C905, then you better get it replaced as soon as possible.

Ask me a question I would normally lie to.

Thanks for that advice. Because of your post i have just got back from CPW with a nice new C905 lol. They said it was the first C905 they have had returned so far. The bloke pressed the down button once, and replaced it without any questions lol.

Thanks x

I'll say it's a small fault in the casing's manufacturing process.

no problem.. its a seroius fault which renders the c905 completely un-usable.

Come to think of it: what if all returned C905s actually need just some simple repairing process and then given out as replacement units to the next complaining user?

I have had the C905 phone (black) a couple of weeks.
I have got WIFI Network Sharing working see bottom of post.

But users please add to this C905 Bug list:
and Ericsson please do something about

1. No Video sharing option in WMLI
2. Backlight goes off too quickly and is not adjustable
3 GPS takes ages for initial connection then seems ok
4 On button could be changed to big middle button or a side button
5 Ring number button might be better to be central button
6 No light/torch option
7. Wayfinder - need to be able to download maps to phone memory.
8. GPS status would like to see height as well as long/lat.

I spent ages but found out how to enable network sharing/ WMLI - it needs to be connected to WIFI then you get extra options in Wifi Advanced, switch network sharing ON. Then you will be able to connect on your PC. The PC asks for user name and password which you set by entering these on the phone in Connectivity/Network Sharing option

You have posted this list before, right? Because I remember commenting upon two of its entries:
7. This is possible if you have a Wayfinder subscription. Just use the downloadable Maploader application from Wayfinders site.
8. Wayfinder Active (free application) lets you see altitude as well.

Well I'm still having problems, the Orange Photography Application which has been shoved in instead of the built in SE Blog Upload Facility just freezes and refuses to upload pictures to Pikeo.
Really very annoyed although luckily the third party Shozu App works fine but stupid that what was meant to built in doesn't work.
Also still no geo-tagging, it saves the data but there is no data there when I put it into Picasa or Pikeo, really annoyed.
Also the volume controls don't work when the headset is plugged in, they don't seem to change the volume just stop the track playing or even just skip it, not sure if the handset is faulty or if its just that that C905 is rubbish

Dude, dunno bout the branded parts, but for increasing the volume, you need to repeatedly press the button rather than pressing and holding which results in the skipping of tracks.Hope it helps.

my d-pad was also hard to press down, but only in the beginning. after 2 weeks, it works fine now. there isn't the same 'click' feel as in the other directions, but i don't need to press it hard to go down in the menus.

I've had the C095 from O2 UK for a week now and seems like an awesome phone.

Few things I've noticed so far:
- The camera cover is a little wobbly

- Problem with keypad numbers 5 & 6, the numbers look broken when the LEDs behind them are lit up, sort of like the light is being blocked.

- I have no problem getting a GPS connection but when I load wayfinder navigation it works for like 5-10 seconds and then just freezes. I have to take the battery out before it works.

Anyone else have the GPS problem, its really annoying me!
BTW I'm on software version 038, no new updates for me apparently.

Had a play with one of these a live one in a 3UK store. Very nice phone. But. Although i know the pics look great on the screen i thought they looked blurry and the camera would not focas properly. Also i do not like the slide cos it never locked into place when pushed upwards. Or could it be a rubbish 3UK one in store.

Thanks for updating me. It was free a couple of weeks ago. Since they are now charging also for the basic application I really hope they solve all reported problems regarding the purchase, use and position deviation of the optional topograhic maps for sweden. The basic map works well though and positioning is precise. I see they have now also added official support for C905.

Finally another wobbly camera cover. I have this too but it doesn't seem to be common among the C905 users of this thread.

The keypad phenomenon is widely spread, I think. My guess is its present in all units shipped so far.

Haven't experienced Wayfinder freezing so far.
