Did you notice that most phones here have german, french etc in the languages option? So i think we're getting the european version.

Hi,
I tried updating my firmware using Davinci which seemed to work but then my phone wouldnt turn on so I had to flash again using the recovery firmware.
I then was able to run the Sony Update Service and it succesfully flashed my phone but to R2AN001 and I cant find any info to find out how old this version is.
I'm happy with it as the main reason I wanted to get the update was to improve the menu speed as I noticed it is slower than my old K700 (which was stolen) and it now seems to be faster.
And I have tried searching for this firmware version on here and on Google.
Any info?
Thanks

Hi welcome to Esato. There was a R2N001 version as listed on the 1st post of this thread. That was a Netherlands version. You might want to recheck.

I did see that on the first page but that is R2N001 and mine is R2AN001. Are they the same? |

That firmware is not known (at least to me and many others). Post some more info... like: What's the camera version? Searchable phonebook? Is the firmware for a branded phone? Can you post a picture of the firmware display?
A lot of people here know a lot of things about latest firmware, but none of them has heard of R2AN001... |

R2AN001
LCD 200404041
Camera 3.10
ITP CXC 125 813 R2C
The phone was unlocked but o2 branded until I done the flashes with Davinci and then run the SE update which then flashed my phone to the current version.
Not too sure what you mean by search but there is no search option on my phonebook just the normal entering of the first few letters to find your contact. |

Hmmm..Interesting. I'm sure we have a lot of people around here who would find this interesting too.

This is possibly an operator firmware version.
