Pretty happy with what I have right now but yeah, I'd love to buy that gun someday or even just being given the chance of firing one. Even with the comp, the recoil must be a blast

Hi doc T,
'Have been browsing the BOG's forum for sometime now and still can't post a reply. I recently saw the thread on T. Clancy and am sorry i wasn't able to answer because of my predicament. what do you suppose I should do? |

Have you acted on the confirmation email sent to you at first to activate your membership? if you have, another thing you can do is to delete all cookies you have on the site and log in again. Make sure your firewall isn't blocking the site. Lastly, if all else fails you'll just have to re-register using a different username. It's been known to happen and one of the members, gundog, had your same problem and he had to junk his old username, dogcity. Hope that helped
By the way, thanks for your recommendation on Stephen Hunter, I've bought most of his books even though I haven't read them yet but I'm sure they're good. Am having a hard time finding copies of Black light and Time to Hunt

Thanks for the "prescription" Doc. I bought some of my books at the ground floor of Filinvest Mall in Alabang, can't recall the store's name though. It's located near the Booksale outlet(center aisle) beside the foodcourt. Also bought my "Holy Blood, Holy Grail" book at the same store, which I think is a must-read for Dan Brown aficionados. |

I have that, and I was into those things way before Dan Brown made it popular. There are many other books on the subjects tackled therein that make Dan Brown books look tame in comparison. I'll check out that bookstore you mentioned in Filinvest when I have time. I found "Dirty White Boys", "Tapestry of Spies" and "Point of Impact" at Booksale Goldcrest Arcade and they were in like new condition. The others I bought at Fully booked, Rockwell

Doc T.,
Yes it seems HBHG was Dan Brown's principal reference for Da Vinci. I thoroughly enjoyed Point of Impact, Black Light, Pale Horse Coming, Hot Springs, basically "the Swagger Series". Great Guns being discussed and with a little mention of Gun Legends incorporated as supporting characters for the Swaggers. Am about to acquire a S&W mod. 39 pistol, 9mm pistol, 95% condition, but still mulling on it; can't find a substantial literature about it besides the 'net. It seems the current owner is not that well verse when it comes to guns, as per my observation.May I ask if you have come across one? Hav'nt found somebody who could give me a "review" on it. |

No, I haven't come across one. Except for their revolvers, Smiths are not so popular here in our country. But from what I read it was the first DA semi-automatic pistol produced in the states in 1957, it was extensively used as service issue firearms by some police dept's in the States when they were transitioning from revolvers, but didn't catch on with the civilians who were enamored with the .45's. The model was discontinued in 1982.

saw you browsing BOGs at GT. Tried to send you a PM but was still blocked. Seems you haven't found a solution to your login problems yet. Try to send an email to eric, the site's owner and admin, and explain your problem
