I do not think so.
Never heard of someone say you can open cinema pro this way for example.

so i went to clove today and can confirm Hawk12's experience.

It will say pre-register but they already have a placeholder price in the code. for me it shows $1200 USD for the X1m2 and $266.65 for the 10m2.

Not sure if this is with or without VAT. I'm guessing it's without VAT.

I hope this price comes with some good freebies... $1200USD for just the phone is a bit steep... as much as i want it.

About a $1000 dollar difference between the flagship and the mid-range 10 mk2. Doesn't seem to make much sense. Should there not be another price point in between?

Yea - it's strange.

So, I tried again to refresh and the prices all changed. It must be some strange algorithm they have in place to generate their site.

guess we won't know til we know.

UPDATE: camera walkthrough.. nothing we don't already know. but it's in video form

no, it was displayed in USD.

again - i don't think it's a real price. just something wonky with their website algorithm.

Yeah I saw the units in pounds too when I refreshed the page~ really hoping for the digital zoom quality to be greatly usable!

Doing the math :

1) Ultra wide has 20 and 24mm. So it 1.25 and 1.5 zoom. So it is 7,7MP and 5,3MP equivalent. Considering main cam is 24mm, pointless to use ultra wide at 24.

2) Wide : 28, 35, 50 and 70mm zoom. So it is 1.16, 1.45, 2.08 and 2.91. So it is 8.9MP, 5.71MP, 2.77MP and 1.41MP equivalent.

3) tele : 85, 100, 135 and 200mm zoom. So it is 1.21, 1.42, 1.92 and 2.85. So it is 8.21MP, 6MP , 3.26MP and 1.47MP equivalent.

Digital zoom gets worse with low res sensor. This is why Samsung is pushing 108.
They could have done a 48MP of same size if they wanted.

Agrer, they could have increased the MP of the Telephoto to 48MP instead of the 20mp that it currently has.

Anyway, they probably, wanted it to be faster too as 48mp will have slower output than 20mp I guess.

I think the app recognized the wrong sensor.
Why would they advertise 12 when sensor is 20MP?
Must be the same used last year.
The S5K3M3.

1/2 is too big to be used at 70mm without periscope.
Look at other phones that use about 80mm.
They have 8MP 1/4".

Sony mobile does not like quadbayer.

L4 unboxing video confirms no more dedicated Xperia apps such as Phone, Contacts, Weather, Email and Album. Surprisingly enough Sony News is still there

no much difference in night shot at this point between X1mk2 and X1

Yes exposure and color maintains same. But look carefully at the magnified post cropped by Sony. Look at the pillar wall tiles as well as the square tiles on the escalator. There's quite an improvement on details. Also the wheelchair sign.

And as what the mobile president said he's aim is not focus on producing better (fake ?) night mode but likely on the focusing experience using Tof sensor.

As well as this I believe

I agree, fake looking eye candy isn't a better camera.

The second article talks about 2x2 OCL, which unfortunately isn't featured in Xperia 1ii, or Samsung S20 for that matter. I wonder why...
