@ZappyDen
in my honest opinion. i'd prefer the Z2 because it's waterproof phone and it has features the m8 doesn't have which i appreciate the most, like noise cancellation. displays seems more livley on the Z2 but not fake like in amoled displays. speakers are more or less the same quality - depends on the type of music. i'm really impressed with sony making a waterproof phone sound that loud. who would have thought that Z2 with it's waterproof has the strongest speakers on the market with m8? *applauds*

Looks like an all around winner here with Z2 now, not very impress with the new camera thing with HTC, looks like fake photoshop after effects. |

Objectively Sony has made a great effort here.
It's absolutely not behind anything in any area.

stupid HTC.. they have one of the best looking device and now they make it freak.
it was so easy for them, just change the goddam ultra pixel with 13mp sensor, add SD card support, enhance battery and boom there you go!
I'd say good job for Sony!
that what happen when you listen to customers..

Well well... I stay away from this site for 48 h and they drop the HTC One bombshell... WTF?
anyway... the HtC ONE (M8) (HTC is not better than Sony in giving name!) and the Xperia Z2 are the 2 phones i was looking forward... Now that They are both here I'm still prefering the Xperia Z2...
-The Speaker IMHO are better on the HTC ONE, they are deeper and cleaner! but The Xperia Z2 is an IP58 device, so Sony has done a Miracle putting such good Speakers in this beast...
-For the Photo side, I've seen some HTC sample and I'm NOT impressed, surely it has a really fast focus (not at the level of iPhone) but the clarity and the quality are not good enough... Xperia Z2 all the way...
-Speaking of design it's a great piece of device! I love that brassed alluminium! It's on par with the Xperia Z2... The Z2 is more classy, while the HTC is more stylish (and also it has the same dimensions of the Z2 but it has a littler screen -0.2")! TIE
-Screen are awesome on both... TIE (till I'll see them with my own eyes)
-UI I prefer the simplicity of the Xperia Z2...
-microsd, CPU are all TIE except for RAM where the Z2 shines
-Battery? well the Z2 has 3200mAh whereas the HTC has 2600mAh... it seems a clear WIN for the Xperia Z2...
-the HTC One has a 32GB version, that is something I would love to have in the Xperia Z2
-other plus for the HTC are DAT DOT COVER http://www.htc.com/us/accessories/htc-dot-view/ and the 5.5 MPX front camera...
-plus for the Xperia Z2 are the IP58, the Stereo MIC (for me) and the status LED (way cooler)
Buuuuuuut! the Xperia Z2 WINS hands down for me
Look at how sweet the Z2 and the HTC ONE are... poor S5 he is really ugly
Also the Z2 is even SLIMMER! with a bigger screen and a bigger battery! Sony is really the king of Craftmanship!

I would also choose Sony's UI hands down.

There's a video on GSM Arena Blog showing the HTC surviving in water for a period of time with no issues. Could it have a nano coating??

I'm really doubting! I mean if they had some sort of Water Protection they would be bragging about it as much as they can!
IMHO it is ssimply due to the high quality design and construction! as with Moto G or X and with the iPhone... they resist a little under water... but they are not insured against water damage! |

My Xperia T has also fell in the water for a period of time, and with no issues but later a month or two the issues will come.
What is your point and what will you trying to prove? |

Ouch!
The HTC ONE (m8) camera seems to be facing already a lot of criticism! Here Erica Griffith is stating that the refocusing capability is just gimmicky... And they are even wondering if the second camera really works for depth perception!

Poor HTC... Go Z2! GOOOO! |
