Does anybody have an idea when the XS will be available in the US?
I think that the ION is the big priority for the US market.

I could import the phone but I will be paying more than $600. Usually the prices in the US are lower than the
converted prices in EU because we do not pay VTA and the sales tax is a lot lower as well.

I would say the weight matches the size of the phone. Personally, I like it, it makes it feel "sturdy" somehow.
And yes, the notification LED on the top left corner is still present. The light strip on the bottom is really just a short-term notification (at least for the time being).

What do you mean with this? Devs will be able to play with it's lights? It would be freaking awesome to make a crazy color party. Some app to play with it, just like strobe on flashlight apps.
I don't get people. Never Have, never will.

Don't think Sony has mentioned US at all for XS. Seems ION is for US and XS for the rest of the world.

the sony logo on the box and on the phone look like a last minute decision.
couldn't they have used black sony letters on the white box ? didn't sony send logos with alpha channels ?

Not really. The Xperia S box is similar to the Tablet S Box. So I don't see how it was a last minute decision.

Preparing the video now. There are no smart tags in the box by the way, but as always: box content varies from market to market. Will also put this remark in the video, but I already hear the wining!

I can't, for this a new charger is necessary, that is currently not available. Also note that Sony never mentioned that feature anywhere in connection with the Xperia s

Do you own any Sony product ? Just asking cuz if you did you would not say what you have been saying. The Xperia S box is similar to every other Sony product box.
And its pretty obvious the box was designed by Sony cuz SE used small boxes. This "big" box is a typical sony box with a typical Sony logo. Nothing funny or wrong with it.
