Aww man, I got up at 6am, 3 hours before before the action, and what do I find? I missed it all!
I'm hoping they've saved some juice for in two and a half hours.
Xperia S press release hasn't appeared on the SE site yet, Ion has. The announcement isn't yet official and it ain't over till the fat lady sings.

No, the S hasn't been announced yet, only leaked.  I can't imagine the specs being that different from the Ion though.

did i read right? Xperia S has AT&T 3G bands but isn't 4G LTE?

sony's press conference starts at 5 so that's like an hour and 50 minutes from now. I just watched samsung's press conference. |

^^ Hey! That's a major achievement over at Nokia. We should all forget about any upcming Sony stuff and go buy Nokias. Nokia is the new Alcatel didn't you know.
Edit: ok, slightly tongue in cheek. I did consider getting an N9 though as they will be collector's items in a few years.

I was very confused as to what the difference is... apart from LTE.

The 900 is 4.3", so it has to be bigger than N9 (3.9") or L800 (3.7") to fit that screen I guess.
edit: Yep. N9/L800 are 116.5 x 61.2 x 12.1 mm / 135-142g, L900 is 127.8 x 68.5 x 11.5 mm / 160g.
