I don't have an N8 but I'll soon make an extended comparison between a Satio, an E72 and a Pentax K-x DSLR.
See my photos taken with the C902, Satio or E72 in here!

check out this night club video from N8. simply amazing quality for these conditions.
What other mobile can capture this kind of quality in a dark night club?

N8 doesn't have a video LED light? who cares

I deleted the night-shot comparison.
Obviously I used the wrong settings with the Satio and changed the N8 resolution by mistake. That making the comparison worthless and giving wrong impressions.

This morning its raining cats and dogs here and I do not dare to use the phones outside in that weather condition.
Since I give away my Satio this evening I will most likely not be able to provide any further camprison shots.

Greetings

Why? Because Pixon12 have great razor sharp optics and close up MACRO 8 cm. All phone design is like camera.

Itīs not all for a cellphone. Itīs all due to your complete lack of seriousness and argumentation. Those were completely different scenes, and completely different ISOīs.

How on earth one would conclude, by the means of your example, that the N8 "calculates the ISO badly"?

Comments like yours "thatīs not what I see in the pictures" are also on the limit of irony.

That gives the idea that other people that have commented on them are blind or something like that, just because you see something that no other person manages to see. Itīs the kind of argument of people that refuses to discuss the facts and the inner aspects of what has been proposed.

Thatīs not being sttuborn. Thatīs being a truly pigheaded person.

Sassho, I like the Pixon12, too. Itīs optics are truly sharp, its dynamic range @ base ISO sensitivities is amazing, and I agree with you on that. It also has manual selectable ISO settings, and, with ISO-50, one can take really amazing shots with it during the day.

The thing is that itīs only worth it if you use it @ the base ISO settings.

Using anything above ISO-200 is waste of time. It simply kills all the noise, and so the detail vanishes completely. Fitting ISO 400+ on that phone was pure gimmickry. The Satio absolutely smashes it down when it comes to low light photography, and so does the N8.

Besides that, itīs well known that the Pixon12īs lens has a pronnounced barrel distortion, and, under warm light, like @ the sunset or @ dawn, sometimes the colour channels could get completely messed up, no matter which setting I used.

Just got my new (used) silver satio! Iayks!

Have you hacked your Satio? The only app that I'm going to install is the SPB Shell 3.5. Do I need to hack it in order to install that?

If youīre trying to install an unsigned app, then you have either to sign it or to have your phone hacked.

If youīre trying to install a paid app, then you donīt have to do neither of these.

Vit - every phone is not usable on ISO200 or upper. All cameraphones are BEST only to good bright light. Shots in dark are poor like in cheaper cameras. Barel distorsions principle are normal for many wide angle lens , but in N8 camera is visible unexpected blur on right side or blury spots on all image .

That is truly amazing how good of a camera the Nokia N8 has.
I have made up my mind and I am going to leave my Sony Ericsson trend and
jump back onto the Nokia ship again.. no doubt about it with the beauty and perfect camera of Nokia N8!

Well, in Brazil we use to say that one picture says more than a thousand words... What about two?

These come from my very own Satio, and they were taken @ ISO-500:

The picture below has had a pretty mild noise reduction with Topaz DeNoise v5 (also @ ISO-500):

Thats funny because the Pixon12 was rated the WORST images produced in GSM Arenas blind shootout between N8/Pixon12/Sony Hx5v.

Winner of the blind test was N8
