Just noticed CPW has them in on PAYG (O2 I think) for £220, wonder if they are sim-free? Still too expensive for me at the moment though. |

Sorry its £229 + £10 top-up, yes its quite possibly unlocked, just about every phone I've bought from them in the past has been. |

Got mine today . I'm very happy with it so far. This is by far the best small-sized device I've owned. The build-quality is even better than W880i. I liked the rubberized back of the W880 though...
The keys now are much better, a lot easier to type on. Although that was never a problem for me with the W880. As it's dark outside I cannot tell anything about the camera, but I don't expect much from it. The 2MP of the W880 already were sufficient for me, personally now 3.2MP will be just fine for occasional shots in goot lighting conditions. For everything else I use a "real" camera.
Right now I'm using the W890 as a modem with my notebook. Surfing the web via HSDPA at around 2Mbit/s (net) feels fantastic. You almost forget that this is not a broadband connection. Very impressive. UMTS was already quite usable when on the move. But THIS is just perfect! No need for WLAN any more. As I have 5GByte included I now can actually expect to use a considerable portion of that ...
YouTube: no problem. Live-TV streaming in TV quality: no problem. Even loading email in the meantime.
As you might notice the W890 serves several purposes for me: a high-speed data modem and a very slim and light camera phone I can use as an MP3 player.
Thank you SE for this spectacular phone! |
