is it true or is it a fake ?
i found this in the net:
http://www.xperiax10.net/2010[....]rformance-boost-creatouch-app/
and this
http://www.pocketpc.ch/sony-e[....]6-akkulaufzeit-des-x10-51.html post 1014
in the pocketpc.ch forum the user the_black_dragon has direct contact with a certain SE Member, who also reads the forums posts, and also claimed that there is a R2B... firmware and that they are still testing, and that the R2B is for the Battery Problem, and for some other optimizings. Now they are testing if this FW is stable, and therefor it depends if it got released, or if the make another update.
This SE member will call the user the black dragon on friday for further informations, and he wants that this user informs the forum about the news.
This sounds not that the R2B is a fake.
And by the way this is a information policy that is really cool, going into a forum and giving them news.
Best wishes Mav

Ive just spoke to Sony Ericsson UK support this morning about getting my handset re housed. On a side note a asked about the R2 update and the support person i spoke updated had updated his handset to the R2 verison. He said it contains a few bug fixes, speed improvement and most important battery life has been extented. They have the R2 software ready to go. However, they are having a few problems with the SEUS servers at the moment. So i was told its to be expected any day now.

Excellent news! Thanks. I wonder if the Creatouch app will also be included.

glorfingal@ I would remain with the black housing; it looks very stylish I think. It is just a bit marked up from where I dropped it and there is a chunk out the top left hand corner. SE have quoted around £47~ to repair it with a 7-10 turn around, providing there is no other damage. So thinking about sending it off to be fixed at the moment.
Yes i was told the Creatouch app will also be included.

I was surprised that only one person had tested this new firmware and it was a person with just 5 post.
Glad to be wrong and I apologize for my doubts
Thanks Andy

More good news chaps.

Now have a mountain of files and docs for the X10! Root looks possible (albeit unconventional) given time and the right tools. |

For those of u using white X10, u reckon the back cover is slippery and easy to get scratch due to its shinny material? How do u protect the phone? |

HTC Hero is still waiting for it's upgrade which has been delayed many times...
The only phones which will get instant updates are the Google 1's... Others will have to wait for the UI Layer like UXP or Sense to be ported over... The only later version is 2.2... So lets see what is next shall we before making assumptions...

se-naz trumped you goldenface..
I'm personally delighted that we'll get HD recording. 2.1 or 2.2 doesn't matter to me as long as we get flash 10.1 (I know it's native in 2.2 but can surely be used in 2.1 with the right hardware and a little bit of manufacturer support).
I have a dig bick You read that wrong |

At least there is a mention of continued support....though 2.1 in Q4 2010 is like upgrading Windows XP PCs to Windows 7 in Q4 2013...
The 2.1 upgrade is much less intersting though because of all the other included features and upgrades...HD video recording, DLNA, new UX apps.
