Tonight we're entering the New Year the same way we've been doing it for many a year- by attending the midnight mass. Once we're back home i kindle a smallish fire, sip from an enormous mug of coffee and "get my mental house in order" for the new year. The partying and wishing of family is usually reserved for later during daylight hours.
To further latch onto what Wanqa's mentioned, i thoroughly enjoyed Dinner For One each and every year. After Googling for a bit i've discovered that it's a traditional item on German television as well. You may be interested in checking out the script, boet

And on that note, may i wish one and all a most Peaceful and Prosperous New Year, one filled with all the good things life has to offer. May you and your loved ones know only happiness and joy for 2006.
I'm not superstitious, merely mildly stitious. |

And an AWESOME 2006 to you all out there, live and direct from Wanqa's World!
@ Kryptik,
Shot for the link, connection.
Enjoy the iconic "Same procedure as last year James" and "Skol!" moments..wish the Poms would catch on to showing this annually as well.

Happy New Year all the all the people posting in this thread. Last night Vodacom handled the rush of sms's past midnight pretty well...I didn't have any delay on messages I sent and those sent to me.

Ironically, down here we couldn't make or receive calls on either MTN or Vodacom from 7pm onward, although gprs was up and running smoothly.

Hey Fellows
Hope everybody had a feb. crossover to da new year.
I'm having good holidays except that I was mugged my SE V800. I was at the wrong place, wrong time and wrong condition/state of mind.
Anyway, Enjoy. All the best for this year. |

@bongzino: Whats up with you and that phone? First it broke and now you've been mugged...I would get another model if I was you.

Hello Brix, Kryptic and the rest of the SA crew! Wishing you a fulfilling and prosperous year.
Sorry I've been very scarce here. you certainly were not "out of mind".
@brix: Your first post on this thread describes me as:
"AYA...Nigerian internet consultant who's married with one daughter." Not quite accurate. Here's a more accurate description: AYA...Nigerian clergyman and internet/mobility consultant who's married with a son and a daughter.

As expected,we're only into the third day of the new year and O2's online store has dropped the price of the W550i again...now only £129.99 (approx R1460.)

Good to have you here again, Falcon!
The Proteas are gonna have to bat their socks off tomorrow if they want to declare early enough to put Australia in to bat before the last day. Yes there is the 96 run lead, but I just hope the SA side declare with enough runs on the board AND with sufficient time to bowl the Aussies out...they could easily drag their heels on the last day to let the game fizzle out into a draw and clinch win the series.
Tomorrow's outcome will be so pivotal...go SA!

Happy New Year to all my fellow Seth Efrikkans Hopefully that wagging Aussie tail won't cost us the match. I've not been following it on the box, apparently the Channel Nein commentary team have deemd that the Seth Effrikans don't deserve to win because they're behaving in an Un-Australian manner.
I don't know about Vodacom GPRS being fast of late...yesterday I installed Opera 6.32 which is specifically made for the P910i...haven't seen any noticable improvements but will delve deeper into it in the coming days.
On Monday I banned all adult content to my phone by simply using *111#...it's quite cool since we spoke about porn ads a couple of months ago. To have enable access I have to go to a Vodashop with my ID so that they can verify that I'm 18.
Kudos to Vodacom but it's quite weird that Vodacom does not advertise this service...else no-one would be complaining about the proliferation of porn on cellphones.
