Yeah Amby... Yahoo.co.uk gives pop3 but that means I have to create a new account abi? Instead of that, I will look around and see how to do it with my google mail account (which has been suffering from lack of use anyway.) |

@all: men! This mtn gprs is just frustratin my life out. Cn ne1 tell me y i keep gettin time out msgs, comm error msgs, & cn't download anythn. Mtn's machine has also refuse 2 send my gprs settings since my fone last went thru a master reset. Cn ne 1 hlp wt a manual config. I'l seriously appreciate ne efforts.

why not go to wap.sonyericsson.com with your phone browser to get the config? If you can't do that, post your MTN number on here and I'll help you to send the settings to your phone (z1010).. |

@mamba: tnks. im using my mtn line 2 make these posts. I've been 2 sonyericsson.com, but d settings i received r 'mtn wap' & 'mtn mms'. I couldn't get 'mtn gprs'. I think ambyz once said it would grant me full web access on my fone & downloads. Moreover i keep gettin xcesiv time out msgs on those settings. What do u think?

In my phone, the only difference between MTN WAP n MTN GPRS is that the GPRS profile has 000.000.etc all zeroes as its ip address. They shared the same data account. So create one!

So I gat mize my batt, my fone is now mainly 4 calls & a bit of side line readings (really interesting), cos I have 2 bike far 2 my friend's crib 2 recharge. @johnbendi, i still dont see anything wrong with your settings & i think you really dont need additional settings cos the one you got from sonyericsson is probably most suitable. there could be network problems at your location or conjestions which will definitely cause timeouts.. |

@al: nevertheless, i agree about the brilliance of AYA's site. I visited d html version with my fone. D UI was a smooth experience with far helpful contents.
