look closely at the picture and the video (green slider)
the odd notch on your left
does it really "scroll" in the video?
did anything change on the screen when he "scrolled" it?
not that I can see.
and no dial/hang up keys again?

That green slider look like Lindsay, maybe it wasn't cancelled after all
'Tis what I'm thinking. That thing is seriously good looking.
It'll attract fingerprints like dirt to a white t-shirt. But 'tis a small price to pay.

Well, here's the P700, here's that yet unknown green/black slider, but now what's up with a future HSPDA phone?
I mean not the Z750, but a more specialised one, cybershot or branded...

Why are you guys bitching about HSDPA all the time? Most european countries barely have HSDPA coverage so just a small percentage of the consumer market can use this technology. I can see why Sony Ericsson isn't in any hurry.

@Taikira
Shinobu is said to be HSDPA, and a slider
@thklinge
Well in Australia two of our biggest carriers have started using HSDPA, and one of them is nationwide (a big plus for the size of Australia).
Well the green slider is definitely Lindsay. Perhaps not cancelled then. But it looks brilliant; best SE design ever IMO.

Hello guys
So, I guess everybody has heard of the announcement the 8th of May. And I think I've heard a little more about it - it's going to be big. And did anybody say Sofia? that should be just one of the phones announced the 8th. Either this announcement or the next one - that's for sure! Anyways, many sign point to this date as being the "real" announcement.
Cheers guys!  |

I hope Sofia will have a Walkman player as in Walkman branded. If it does, then finally there is a replacement for my aging W800. (with all the good stuff: good camera with shutter, good sound, nice led and above all speed and battery life). You know what I'm talking about... the good stuff. (K800 is good as well, but still the sound doesn't seem that good and I really need the led for its lantern function).
I was thinking of getting a N73 music edition but Nokia's life battery really sucks. I noticed how people only look at great new futures and forget the basics, a phone that lasts one day kinda sucks especially when you're always on the road like I am.
Another thing that I fear with Symbian phones is getting stuck in the middle of a call. Does it happen with SE ?
Cheers guys |

It's not because mass market doesn't care about HSDPA that I have to throw away my personal needs...
I need HSPDA, so I wait for, that's all, bro

Still waiting for that SE 5 MP camera phone, hope it will really be announced in May. I'm sure it will beat N95, especially if they put that K800i xenon flash in it.

It's an interesting presentation though and the questions asked by some of the analysts during the webcast and some of the answers were very interesting!!
What kinda questions were asked there? May you sum up the call?
