A few odd things I've noticed by reading the manual for the US version.
The US PSP-1001 seems slightly different to the Jap PSP-1000 like we have imported:
-US model says Basic Button Operations are, O = Cancel & X = Confirm while these are reversed for Japan.
-US one comes with cloth & UMD Demo
-It clearly states that the two holes on the front, near the bottom corners of the screen are left & right speakers! But we have the speaker holes on the bottom of the console. The US manual shows these holes on the bottom but they are not labeled as anythin at all.
-The PSP CANNOT play Video data a bit rates higher than 768kbps!!
This appears to be in the Japanese manual too BUT haven't some of u already used higher?! I'm certain I remember psikey encoding @ 1500kbps!
-Still says it plays ATRAC3plus but it doesn't!
Thats about it, nothin major but that speaker hole thing is weird!
Edit: Just looked in the Japanese manual & the same 'holes' seem to be labeled as the speakers even though they're not, & the actual speaker holes aren't labelled!
Maybe this was something changed at the last minute?

@MikLSP With regards to the demo disc most of the Jap versions came with it, but reading up a few people didnt get any..and in my situation I got 2. So its just some lazy guy in the factory that forgot to put the demo disc in.

Well its seems quite a few people dont have demo discs mmm strange. Nothing interesting on the demo disc you cant even play any games, its just short clips of whats available and some short movie clips thats about it.
