you didn't read my review, did you? see my sig where you can find out about this and there is also a link to the thread discussing it

it has the same issues on Vodafone that the S700 and K700 have.

well, these comments have been made over and over and repeating them doesn't seem to change a thing.

there is a simple work around which most people seem happy with

Goodness!

Craig can't take a hint I guess

Adding DRM to your own MP3's is a matter of seconds on your home PC so it's really not much of a bother imho. besides we may probably see it more rather thanless in the future anyway.

Someting else: a Dutch rep suggested that there will never be an unbranded V800 released in the Vodafone countries Said the V802 (Japan) is the only non-voda version ever.

Also said the white and copper covers are only for V802 and not for V800........

@Vlamm Sorry but could you be a bit more clearer? Do u mean that the V802 will have original SE icons? or do you mean that it will not have all the Voda logo's on the cover? because if that is the case then I know that SwissCom is selling the V800 without the voda logo's etc and it is also unlocked from the network. Yes it has the Voda menu, but I dont think they will keep it exclusive to themselves.

P.s on the Swiss SE website they show all 3 colours.

hah!! i've already suspected there wont be an unbranded V800... Im not clear wth Japan V802... as far frm wat i can see frm pictures and SE JAPAN website... it is branded wth Vodafone coz it is under Vodafone Japan.... with logos etc etc.... I think the only solution is sim-free V800 or V802... correct me if im wrong... all im saying is there wont be an unbranded...

In Austria and in Switzerland the V800 hasn't got a vodafone shell - and you can order a white and copper shell too.

Well, The japanese version of V800 is not called V802, it's "Vodafone 802SE", so I guess you can figure out the rest with the branding...

The question if it will be released unbranded, well, until SE announce an unbranded V800, it wont be released any...

White and copper is not only for japenese market.

It's actually 'V800 Vodafone - V802 SE' in full.
regardless, I have yet to see one without Vodafone menus.
