Sad to say BUT even if I was hyped by that promotional video, I am not expecting those ND filter and multiple lens in an Xperia. 
This is just too much for Xperia as a long time esato member. I can't remember the last time Sony/xperia/  has made a new breakthrough especially in camera mobile photography. It has always been incremental and not groundbreaking at least for Xperia.
Sony Ericsson Satio was the last phone I remember that is this hyped but even that one was beaten by the Samsung Pixon. 
Though, the last time Sony was this proud of their Xperia was the Z2 days

At 0.05 the back looks like it's matte. Even a bit like pro's style. In other shots, when the edge of the display is shining, it shines more than the frame. Don't know if they rendered it like this for the teaser but looks like the back could have a matte finish this time.
The wallpaper looks pretty nice too. They didn't change it last year.
Also the led flash seems bigger. But could be an illusion.
Hope to see more teasers everyday until the announcement. |

Each lens consists of several lens elements. I believe the Xperia 1iii will have at least 7 elements for each lens. In the promo video, the scene is dark so only some of those elements are bright enough to be recognized. Nothing to do with this bizarre and technically impossible theory, not like this is any case. |

Something seems bit weird to me.
The video. When the lens elements come out we see the sensors.
The colours looks pretty evident for each quarter.
Red on upper right, blue lower right, green upper left and dark blue lower left .
I have never seen it before. For example Full Frame sensors usually look green or red (dont ask why , Dont remember).
But presentation of 1ii, imx557 has mixed colours all over sensor.

If only they'd paid attention to its customer base sooner. We've only been complaining about the long time between announcement and launch for at least ten years here on Esato.
