One serious bug ive noticed with the new firmware is the camera video function. Before on old firmware my video function worked perfectly. Now running this new firmware they video freezes up, sometimes for 5 seconds whilst recording before unfreezing.

I'd appreciate if all Satio users could make a sample video of 60 secs and try playing it back to see if theirs freezes up also.

As for the ringtone bug, mine has improved from a long delay to a second or two. Acceptable.

hi is anyone getting a bug where the telephone number is displayed of the person rather than the name even though their name is saved in the contacts? there are no double entries so why is this happening? its like it cant pick up the fact that the contact is saved in the contacts list. vey annoying!

I did 10 min. (300 MB)
Everything OK.

Btw. Since tuesday I´m back to my old k850i. At same time carrying Satio as a camera and "notebook", or should I say "palmbook". And movie player as well

The Power button still takes too little time to shutdown the phone when holding it from standby, I think it must be at least 1 second, but it maybe 0.25 or 0.5 sec. and opps the phone is shutting down !!

hi,

as I mentioned in my post before, I'm not able to install some applications (a expired certificate error appears).

I hard reset the phone a couple of times, but even that did not help. In the meantime Opera mobile beta2 is installable again.

I guess that developer certificates are permitted at the moment, because all of the soft, that I signed with my odpa cert and the helloox2 signed version is not installable.

Is this right?

cheers,
marcel

For thoses hoping for a new EQ feature or smilies i'm afraid it wont happen from Sony E.... Have spoken with them again today and have been assured that they are not adding either of those features. But they are working on a new dictionary for the Satio and it may also be possible to edit this one. No time scale but it is in the pipeline.

Good day to you all i would like to know about the smiles, was it ever in the nokias that uses the symbian software eg...5800,n97 etc because if they have it what is the big deal with sony not including it in the next update software but from my past experiance with k850 people from sony said all kind of things and the truth is neither of them really had a correct answer to addition on fimware sooooo i am still very hopfull that we could just see it arrived in an update along with louder ringtone volume

Well messagning on symbian phones are obviously not very cutting edge, it's like go back to the stoneage from my old C905. no XT9, no smart writing and no smileys. Symbian is hoplessly after. Not very sms friendly.

Try changing the date in you phone to an older date... Say 3rd march 09 or something and then restart and try installing the application... See if that works...
