my Brando has 2 shallow pits already!! imagine if i didnt have a screen protector.. tsk tsk.

@SE21- check "Smartnet Corner (PH)" or "Semicon Corner (PH)" for latest releases. the warning sign is like Windows' "blue screen of death"... it only means turn off your phone by holding the power button for 10secs.

Greetings,

I am having problems with my P800 battery; it seems like it is going kaput. Thought it was a freak thing but it's been through 3 full charge cycles since I noticed it and it's not getting better. Pulled it out of the charger with a full charge at 12mn last night and placed the phone on flight mode to try to make it last and I wake up at 8am with 10% left.

Question is, what now? Is there a warranty on the battery (semicion unit, one of the first set of units released)? How much is a new battery? How do I prevent this from happening again?

In relation, has any one found a desktop battery charger? I have always used one for my past phones and in my experience, battery care is much easier when you have a spare battery that you can charge when not in the phone.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

@jhermano- did u set ur P800's alarm somehow? i mean some task was set to alarm or your clock was set to alarm before you woke up? what i've experimented on is that everytime i had an alarm set, went off while i was asleep, and i wasnt able to turn it off, i wake up with my P800 turned off with low batt.. even if i slept with 98% charge.

@ferrari- wala eh just the 8am alarm that I woke up too.

@lopio- I called the semicon I bought it from (festival mall) and they told me I have to go to a semicon with a service center to have the phone and battery checked before I can get a bat on warranty. how long does this process take?

Anyone know about how the other service centers do it. Was hoping I'd just walk out with a new bat.

Just an update...

Am now back to my trusty T39. Went to semicon southmall (met nookie_hunter there) and they asked me to leave my phone so they could monitor it for A DAY. They have a point naman that they have to determine if the problem is with the phone or the bat. Bad trip! Who knows, I might get a new phone though.

talagang inevitable na ba ang hanging problem (need to perform 10sec press to reset)?
