Not that bright, but yes a bit brighter than default.

C702 simply has better/ less postprocessing giving better quality night pics, what's not to understand.

Your modded driver isn't changing the post-processing, just lowering the iso so theres less, same thing can be done with the C702.

two parameters are crucial for low-light photography: ISO sensitivity and exposure time - that's exactly what I'm using in my driver and what is not important (?) in your opinion. post-processing is only your fairy tale, you're using this word too often and to explain too many things. this theory is naked. so, what will you do to improve low-light shots in C702? you'll pray for better post-processing or use longer exposure time with lower ISO?

With cam phones the quality of pics normally relie on how good the post-processing is since they use very powerful noise reduction etc, The post-processing can't be controlled i know nor can the aperature so all we're left with is iso & shutter speed.

One question about modding:
If you have to rollback to the original driver, how do you perform that task?
Is there a way to extract the original drivers from the phone prior to uploading modded ones?

Yea use a Customize_upgrade.xml script to back-up the oringal 1.

post-processing can be quite easily controlled - you don't have access to algorithms but you can set for them values which determines results of their work - sharpness, contrast, brightness, colors and even jpeg compression. a lot of things but 'post-' only... while major work is inside 'pre-' because of basics (exposure and sensitivity calculations). what can post- do if pre- will create shity result? nothing, exactly this what original driver can offer in low-light. of course post- is important too but only if you don't have to concern about pre-, when light amount is good
BTW. I hope that your driver will help some dudes here which want more from their cameras

I don't believe in existence of noise reduction algorithm in camera DSP. for sure it have sharpening algorithm but both are different things
well, at least I can believe in NR algorithm available in C905
