I also got the 'dust' problem with my G900.
After three days there is already some dust behind the screen (or between the touchscreen and lcd).
There is also some dust in the front-camera.
I was wondering if there are people on this forum owning a G900 who have been carrying it around for a few days in there pocket and do not have a single dust particle in the front camera or behind the screen??
If that is the case, then my G900 could be one of the few having this problem so returning it to the shop and getting a new one could resolve the whole issue.
If not, there could be a bigger issue with this model... |

Mm. That was the first thing I thought when I saw the design with the extra screen bit on the top to cover the front camera..

Few problems:
kern exec errors. They appear when writing an sms or using notes for example. Annoying as hell.
Dust....oh yes. I have noticed too dust under the screen.

Does the G900 have a Blackberry Client available?
If not can anyone suggest alternates (I am open to non SE phones) that have a numeric keypad, good camera, and a touch screen.
BTW the pen supplied with the G900 rather short are there any 3rd party pens available that can fit in the same slot but extend to become about 2" longer?
sorry to repost this but I felt the beautiful photos posted might have distracted some from replying to my earlier post.
I liked the size of the G900 and I know it has email. can this email utility be configured to access email like my P990i's blackberry client?

check the G900 support page for the Blackberry Client, if there isnt one on there yet give the most recent P1 version a go (found on the P1 support page).

...probably won't work. It's fused into SE's implementations, so any new firmware will most likely need a few bb client changes (they didn't carry over from version to version on the p1 either).

cheers Ares, didnt have a chance to check myself.
thats the deal breaker for me, was expecting to have to wait for the updated client to be released, but looks like SE have pulled their finger out!
means I can get it as soon as I want rather then once the BB client is released, excellent! |

It's version 4.0.256 here on G900.
And yes, no problems opening documents directly from the file manager.

@cybertim81
I've have a K750i and a W880i and I find them both very bad for dust. Under the screen cover, but over the LCD. It's quite distracting and annoying.
I've read somewhere that someone took a can of pressurized air (like what you'd use for a camera) and blew away the dust. I haven't tried that, but I may.
Otherwise, the only way that I have found to get that out is to physically dismantle the phone and clean the screens with a proper cloth.
I really want the g900, I think it's a sweet phone. However, I don't want to have to think that I'd have to dismantle that one too, in order to get that dust out of there.
Maybe a customized screen protector is the answer. I don't know.
