????.......most of us get realy awesome pictures with k850....it nothing wrong with the camera..(think I/we have prove that a long time ago)...
i think the biggest issue is the person behind the camera....learn your camera and you will get the same awesome pictures like the "rest" of us !!!!
(i have seen people taken pictures in many strange ways....afterwards they blame the camera because the pictures ends up bad...he he....

Dude, you want everyone to learn their camera-phone. Dont' force them to learn, some people just wanna point and shoot and guess what buddy the N95 is good at that, even better than the K850 you seem to worship. Peace! |

I agree that in the end ppl shouldn't have to be a photographer to take great pics. I can't think of a time other than "macro" that I've taken my dig. cam off auto. I think what you miss here though is the potential of the k850i to take great pics and with refinement of firmware/cam settings, "auto" may produce images like that of which plankgatan has gotten. |

So, in terms of usefulness, would you say that the K850i is a downgrade from the K750i? My old K750i was a true point-and-shoot, especially when paired with the MXE-60 flash.

^^ So as of now all disappointed K850 could do is to wait for a Cam modding driver for the phone to further increase quality even without tweaking the settings and etc.

I read somewhere that the k850 is better at close ups and in other departments, the n95 is the better one.. comments?

I agree that the auto mode on the K800, K810 and K850 is very hit and miss, and that a lot of people will never use anything but auto - and be disappointed.
It's something I hoped SE would have fixed with newer firmware on the K800/K810, but not only did that not happen, but it's now carried over to the K850.
You can get good pictures if you adjust settings manually, which is quite fiddly with the touch sensitive buttons, but most cameras work very well in auto mode these days. It's an area that SE needs to work on for their future models, especially if they go the next step (like Japan) and introduce an optical zoom.

imo we shouldnt be so personal...
both, who vote for k850 and the ones, who question the pic quality have right from a certain pont of u, but we should avoid to point on each other just because of a pic quality...

And you want the last word, eh? With this you have probably guaranteed at least a few hundred more posts from Nokia fans.

^^ Both needs to have CCD sensors and proper imaging algorithm! N82 is not an exception either

The professionals at What Mobile magazine reviewed the K850i and said the pictures could be sharper and the phone is far too buggy. I hated mine took it back. Awful phone. N82 well i cant wait. Also i once went to see Erasure in concert back in September and the guy in front had an N95 and in the dark with night mode the picture was quite noise free and pretty good as i asked him to show me. Very nice phone i loved the screen and huge view finder and the refresh rate was smooth. Love Nokia. Sorry SE K850i is over rated like the iphone. SE are not the only company to make great cam phones just cos of cyber shot. Nokia has Carl Ziess lens LG has Schnieder lens and their new Viewy takes stunning pictures.
