The pictures look great in the review, but I still want to see the blue verison and like I said before, its usual for one colour to be much more prevalent than the other, but fingers crossed it will be the one I'm after.

How easy would you say it was to change the housing?

Lunion, my logic is this:
took <3months to launch W880(from official announcement), and that was designed/built in Japan.....
......and we had rumours of it here on Esato way before the announcement!
The only 'new' hardware in T650i is the screen and battery, everything else has been 'tested' already in other, released phones.....
....so I can't see why it would take more than 13 weeks to launch?!
The Keys also have never been used before. Neither the crystal glass display nor the quartz around the lens.
Great review. ALthough the T650i isn't for me, I love where SE is going with tyight chipset integration & assembly - first seen in the W880 now T650i.

I normally change my phone after about 6mnths or so. But what i have seen/read about the T650i i am goin to be keeping it for ages. And that for me is enough to pay £300 (from what i have heard) coz this is the best looking phone i have ever seen.

From Gsmarena:
Final words
Well, that leaves one of the latest Sony Ericsson handsets, the T650, safely at the end of the gauntlet. This mobile will face the public's high expectations and, as far as we can guess, it will have no problems meeting them.
We found the Sony Ericsson T650 to be a top-notch solution, able to meet most of your mobile needs, be it calling, texting, making pictures or listening to music - all that in an eye-catching form that won't go unnoticed wherever you go. Probably the only disappointment you may have with it, is the low quality video capturing capabilities - QCIF video at 15 fps just doesn't cut the mustard these days.
So after all is said and done, you bet the Sony Ericsson T650 is more than enough to keep you busy while you are waiting for the next Sony Ericsson headliner - the five-megapixel Sony Ericsson K850.

What does that mean? This is just to fill the void between now and K850's release?

Sony Ericsson did a reconstruction to thier T650i camera, now it stick out less than before, it was around 1.5 mm and now its stick out around 0.75mm (halv of its prviews prototype) .. so thats why the launch took abit longer than normal
By the way .. this info from inside the SE .. so please dont ask me much about it .. but you guys who got an earlier prototype .. you gonna se the difference if you not already got the modified T650i

K850 is the phone k810 owners are waiting for, they won't sacrifice their camera features, especially not for design...T650 is more of an all-rounder, feature wise, with design as the priority...

Yes guys, T650 is one of the best looking phones ever made. Especially when you know that it's covered with a real metal, like all the hi-end stuff.

I've got a K800i, camera quality was a must for me at the start, but then i bought a 7mp digi cam, so the camera isnt a must, but i saw the shots taken by the phone on that review and they looked good enough, i take most of my pictures with my phone on nights out or at my mates gigs, if i want decent photos i take my digital camera, nothing or no phone upcoming is going to stop me wanting the T650i....

The other main reason is because the T series is a premium series, and therefore puts quality and design over technological features.
You pay for the quality.
well said !
(i cant realy decide. now i want t650i (for the lovely design), k850i (for the camera) & w960i (for the .........he he

It's funny to see QVGA getting always bitter at SE
