Hi all: I'm considering getting a W850. I have a K750 and I found myself using the music player everyday whereas I rarely use its camera. So I'm looking for a new phone with a better player and I don't really mind the fact that the w850's camera doesn't have AF.

Now, I have a very specific question about the W850 music player: Does it have the same annoying 1-second silence between tracks as the K750's player? That 'gap' between tracks (I have a lot of live CD's) is very annoying. Does anyone know for sure if it plays the tracks continously??

victorh017: well if you want gapless playback, get an ipod instead

it's too early to expect mobile phones as the be-all-end-all DAP replacement. if the ipod acquired gapless playback only in this last macworld expo's update/refresh, give it some time; we're getting there

Although an alternative would be to merge the songs using a program, even iTunes for example. Then you have gpless playback, although you cannot skip tracks then I dont think.

imo there should be continuous play, as i too have music like this, and to have it stop every few mins is quite annoying, especially during a good mix

Finally got my hands on this phone. The display is so much better than my W800 and I'm liking the phone overall but there are just two teeny issues.

When you're texting and go wrong, or want to choose a different word from the list, it's a long way from the number keys to the joystick and 'c' button. Just a matter of getting used to I guess.

And I can't find a way to put on the keylock on demand except opening and shutting slider.

Otherwise great phone and the o2 branding is barely noticable, apart from the front logo.

I finally saw the white W850 here in Singapore today at Suntec city.

Whereas I had an instant dislike to the black I really liked the white and so will definitly choose that colour. I could have bought the phone there for around £247 but they wanted an extra 3% for using a credit card and I really dislike paying extra like that so will either go back with cash before leaving Singapore or find it elsehwhere

its been interesting reading peoples experience so I hope to add some comment when I have a good play
