Well I had to tell him off & to put them away. He works in room service department. I was DM that day(Duty Manager)on shift. Just told him to put them in his locker. I carry my mobile with me on duty in my pocket but on silent but I use it discreetly if the top managers catch you with your mobile in front of guests you get a warning

Yes,I have had one warning when I defaced a guest comments card & I left it lying around. A member of staff picked it up & what I said on it just for a joke offended this member of staff  But all was ok in the end I said sorry & they were ok, but the funny thing was what I wrote, my line manager who was warning me actually said he thought what I wrote was funny

Well,he said it could be a written warning but I said sorry for offending the staff member(not actually words about the member of staff)& it was fine. But I cannot repeat on here what I said cos I may offend others. It was just a joke & it was a dead shift I was bored so I defaced it

What I did on the guest comments card was answer the questions with funny answers & most staff members thought what I wrote was funny except one I joked about something which was going on in the world around that time  won't say no more than that

Well,this manager(Operations)he has left now we never used to get on cos he was a bully & I reported him. Cos of what I reported about him he left I don't put up with that shit in the work place ever & he was always a nasty sod to me. But that one time when he was giving me an official warning he actually thought what I wrote on the card was funny

I also had one when i was doing job. He would issue orders like hell. As a shift engineer and my supervisiors were following it.  Today he is dumped to packing department, removing from production department- heart of the company.

I know but you are still above him in the work stakes after he was an ass  Good for you though getting your own business I bet it's tough?? Ya know I am not scared of big bosses in suits who think they are there to intimidate you. I got that confidence from being a Duty Manager & believe it or not working around mostly women all day You have no choice but to come out of your shell & you become confident in most ways. Though I would say though my weakest point is I can be a big softie too I was so angry once with something at work I went into my bosses office without knocking. I am not saying I am some big shot but at the end of the day he is just still like me HUMAN(well I think so anyway) & a company is only as good as it's staff. But I treat everyone as they treat me in the work place. I treat a cleaner the same as I treat anyone who is higher. I once stuck up for a cleaner when she refused to clean the reception office cos it was a dirty tip cos of lazy staff. I said I don't blame you
