thanks.
the standby slide show is a swf (obvious I guess - but no one said it was a slideshow, and I don't have a c905 )
You could put your own shots in there with dreamweaver, or something that can output to swf.
C905 themes are 4.7, W910 themes are 4.6. The theme works on my W910 (flash desktop also)

Yes please see what you can come up with and if you can describe how to alter the themes. I would really like to be able to but my own shots into the theme called "cyber shot"!

So you're saying the flash desktop can be used on C702? Would appreciate it if you can kindly show us how to do it |

Good to hear he got a brand new one. Nothing about replacement was mentioned in the original post on the slide mechanism problem, which makes it a one-sided story (negative only). Makes it sound like ALL c905-s are faulty in the slide area.
at the time of post he still had the old phone...

You didn't mention if your friend's second, brand new phone had the same problem. Did it?.
Until now the new phone he got have been working ok..(he have had it for about 1week now)

An un-biased, neutral report of the occurance would state the (horrible) fact of a new phone having a nasty problem, BUT would also state the positive side, something like "The nice people at Carphone Warehouse/Vodafone/wherever offered an immediate replacement. The replacement phone is OK and doesn't show the same defect.".
thats why i wrote i had no problem with my 905 ..
and...still have no problems with it.. =O)

Has anybody noticed weaker/lower volume in your bluetooth headset after flashing to the latest firmware? isn't it funny? Evertime you upgrade/flash your phone almost always, soemthing gets worse with it?!? Grrrr

I know this may have been discussed before, but I atually like that C905 weights much, because it feels good in the hand And furthermore it makes the phone feel like something valuable |

^ Agreed, I have a PS3 and recently bought a dual shock 3 for it, it weighs more, however, the weightiness in it a like becuase it feels less cheap and more solid. |

Sorted the "low volume in my bluetooth head set- problem" I Did a master reset.
I'm very tired of the fact that many updates brings problems and even makes the phone vorse in some areas! Sooo tired of being the companies beta tester!!

link is nt working david
here is updated link
Grand 8 megapixel shootout: The latest and greatest (gsmarena)
By adding all the scores, below is what we get
C905: 79
Innov8: 88
Pixon: 73
Renoir: 89
c905 lost points on resolved details (oil paint like structures), dynamic range, internal processing, even on color accuracy (hmm), huge points lost in lens quality (6 out of 10 , top points for lg; 9/10), a big chunk lost in low light (got only 2), macro (got only 4) and of course the video ...
a lot of probs with the c905 according to gsmarena ...

SE C905 :79 points and without the video 77
Samsung Innov 8: 88 without the video 81
Samsung Pixon: 73 without video 65
Lg Renoir : 89 without video 81
still i think is something 'bad' with the macro shots .....in every comparasion C905 comes on top of the Innov 8 but in this comparasion is the worst.....
