2013 Xperia Devices: Odin = Yuga (like TL/T), Dogo and Gaga
Togari and Honami are for Japan only, but I believe we will see the international version around Q2 or Q3 like the Arco S
Too bad they didn't leave the source, but its probably from the Chinese or Japanese site

That's just a rehash of the info I posted long back here. Nothing new except codenames. Yes Odin and Yuga are twin phones. But there will be twin phones at CES as well. |

Randomuser, any drastic improvement in per pixel camera quality for 2013 lineup? Have feeling Sony is lagging even behind htc in this dept:( Will oversharpening and chroma (color) noise be gone some day? |

Cannot answer the specific question but yes there will be a big jump in camera performance going into 2013. Cybershot input will be seen. |

Hehe I know I keep asking for this and the answer tends to be negative... but, eh, any chance of Xenon?
Would camera performance be improved by 1H models, or is it for the 2H powerhouse you keep mentioning? |

As of now there are no rumors of a phone with Xenon flash. Whenever there is a solid rumor, I would definitely post here without being asked |

We have leaks about the 2013 portfolio already, so I am really not sure if anyone should be too optimistic about Xperia Nexus. If there is indeed going to be a Xperia Nexus this year, it should have leaked by now. Or maybe Sony is super secretive about the Xperia Nexus |

@aurelius,
What about countries where no carrier testings are required ?
I mean in our region there's no SIM locking or carrier customization so it's just like any other phone they will test it only to be compatible with the network or not... but still our region seems to be very late when it comes to Sony... Note 2 is already in the market while the New Sony XT which was announced before Note 2 still not yet and Sony Mobile ME Facebook page says late 2012 or even early 2013 !!
You HAVE to test ALL phones for certification purposes on all markets you want to attend. It does not have anything to do with carrier specific modifications.

somehow I feel this article is worth reading

No Jelly Bean Update but there will be Key Lime Pie update?? O.o
In our logs it’s the Xperia Arc S that showed up the most. In fact it was more frequent than the Nexus 7 or the Galaxy Nexus. Does this mean that Sony and Google are working closely on a future Xperia Nexus, a device that was rumored more than once in the recent months?

To be honest, as nice as a Xenon flash would be, it would eat battery power like nothing else. |

I suppose that would depend on how many pictures were taken and battery size. A camera-centric Android would have to be quite thick to accommodate the flash unit. If that was the case there would also be plenty of room for a battery.

I never understood this argument against Xenon. It only eats battery when used, and I'd rarely take more than 10 pictures per day/recharge. So no problem. I never had an issue with it in my old K800 / C905.
@randomuser, noted about Xenon. What about my question whether this jump in camera performence would arrive 1H or 2H? Anything you could share some info on? |
