@Aya: Item 4 of your last post is most innovative. Where do you get the inspiration from @Mamba: how about breaking off a small piece everyday for the next 10 days, that way the fun gets to last longer @All: has anyone noticed that vmobile has been very stable today? no timeouts recorded so far. |

@johnbendi: I see. But I have been enjoying email service on my phones since 2003. That was when I purchased the Moto Accompli 008 (my 2nd smartphone). Since then, I have depended more on my phones than my PCs for email. Its not difficult to setup.

If you can run opera on your phone, then you have web access. I'm also able to run instant messenger. The only restriction is that with vmobile no data is transferred when you use your phone as a modem. if your phone has a full web browser like the 9500 or the P910 you'd be able to browse like you would with a pc. |

Strictly, what Vmobile offers may be referred to as "limited Web access". Cant use it as modem. Cant run your phone's email client on it. Cant run FTP. Again, even with browsing, their are certain sites e.g. secure sites that just wont work. Technically, this "limited web access" is largely possible because of the need to accomodate newer XHTML/WAP 2.0 phones who do not use a WAP gateway. Even Glo GPRS has some limited web access. Its just to a different degree than vmobile's.

@All, reporting live frm Ogwashi-Ukwu in Delta state. One up for MTN, none for glo. @mamba, relax, don't chew ur MTN sim yet. You don't kn wr u might be travelling to soon and mtn/gprs might just come in handy. @johnbendie, cool name. Glad to have u here. |

@abu: CSD can be used to get full web access. Unfortunately, no such luck with vmobile; they blocked web access on it. I use CSD on both Glo and MTN as a fallback in times when I'm on the move and cant find a working GPRS signal. If you need more help with CSD, let me know. But like I said, forget full internet over CSD on vmobile. At least till they change their policy.
