this is just an idea
novathor U9600 will be available in 2013
next gen tegra (Wayne) will be available in Q1 2013 too (28nm Quad A15,Improved 24 (for the quad-core) and 32 to 64 (for the octa-core) GPU cores with support for DirectX 11+, OpenGL 4.X, and PhysX and About 10 times faster than Tegra 2)
so tegra seem better
if you want be different you have to pay for it

@aurelius,
What about countries where no carrier testings are required ?
I mean in our region there's no SIM locking or carrier customization so it's just like any other phone they will test it only to be compatible with the network or not... but still our region seems to be very late when it comes to Sony... Note 2 is already in the market while the New Sony XT which was announced before Note 2 still not yet and Sony Mobile ME Facebook page says late 2012 or even early 2013 !!

So APQ8064 is going to be present on Sony Smartphones in H1. What about H2?
Is there going to be a big difference in the H1 and H2 flagship? I'm looking at a 4.6 inch device. Anything bigger is way too big.

I think that there could be a few phones from Sony in 2013 that will use NVIDIA Tegra SoC because Sony uses them in the Xperia tablet and the Walkman Z. |

Apparently Sony's changing the model numbers, too. Another Sony Ericsson relic disappearing...

I hope not, Nvidia's SoCs are almost the least-community friendly next to Samsung's Exynos chips (crappy documentation or a complete lack thereof). |

I have one really important question for those in the know.
Does Sony's 5/6 inch phablet have a digitizer stylus and palm-rejection technology like the GNote? This is.essential for me to purchase it....

Why make it a feature phone? Why not just include the walkman tech in the regular smartphones...? |

There are only rumors about existence of the Sony phablet, so such specific questions can obviously not be answered at this point even by Sony employees themselves. Same goes for the questions asked by Felimenta97
5tephane, not feature phone but Walkman tech will be seen in 2013 phones.
Not really on topic but,
Sony's Q3 2012 Earnings Press Conference is on 1st November 2012, 15.30 Tokyo time.

I understand. As I said, only if you had any info (or, the other guy who answered, I still haven't memorized the usernames from who have this info).
Whenever you find something, let us know.

I guess I can settle for an Xperia to replace my Live, but I NEED stereo speakers on my phone.
That feature seems to be a thing of the past now

Great. So besides the chip, is there going to be a big difference in the
H1 and H2 flagship? I'm looking at a 4.6
inch device. Will there be a MSM8974 device with 4.6inch screen in H2?

2013 Xperia Devices: Odin = Yuga (like TL/T), Dogo and Gaga
Togari and Honami are for Japan only, but I believe we will see the international version around Q2 or Q3 like the Arco S
Too bad they didn't leave the source, but its probably from the Chinese or Japanese site
