lol @ Mario! The fuel situation's really getting crazy, isn't it?
Tell me, which ringing tones do you guys use? For the last few days i've been messing about with various .amr tones, my favourites being the one with the voice telling you to "Druk die groen knoppie" and "Madam, your phone is ringing"

About the petrol, is it going to be a big problem? Yesterday I went to the garage and they had no unleaded petrol. Maybe we should try to keep our tanks full.
On the ringtones, I chang most of the time. Now I am using goodbye Crazy frog, didnt buy it, got it somewhere on Esato.

@ mario,
We try make an annual pilgrimage to SA during the UK Summer holidays (late July and the whole of August).
We always use a hire car when we are down and inevitably stop at J-Bay en route to East London. (the wife's family are all in CT and mine in EL and Plett.)
Having said this,we might not make it down to SA in 2006 if Mrs.Amawanqa ends up with a 'bun in the oven...'
Still can't yet imagine li'l wanqas running around here in a year or two's time should this happen...

Good luck to the wanqsta...finally we'll be blessed with a mini wanqsta in the New Year, please post some pics when he/she arrives.
Back on alcoholic beverages. My favourites are in no particular order: Heineken, Amstel, Savanna Dry(bloody good) and if I'm down on my luck and find myself in some stinking backwater with mosquitos all over the place I could down a Castle (which happens very seldom)
Today I'm finally parting with the K700i. Anyone want to make me an offer before I flog it to Cash Crusaders?

Yeah, Heineken is also very popular here. The Danish and Belgium beers seem far out-sell any others.Tetley's,Carlsberg,Grolsch,Kronenberg 1664 etc. are somewhat further down the pecking order
@ Kryptik,
I usually use mp3's as ringtones, but also change to amr and wav formats at times. I currently use an amr file for incoming calls, namely 'Spotted Hyenas',which does raise a few eyebrows when the phone rings and I'm frantically trying to dig my phone out from many layers of Winter clothing, when in the local supermarket.
Just for a laugh,I also changed my sms alert to a wav file I downloaded from www.zedge.no: good old Forrest Gump with his famous "My momma always used to say, life is like a box'a chocolates...you never know what you gonna get."
I'm already getting bored with it,so might change it soon;novelty-factor (maybe annoyance..?)wearing off quicker on this one,I guess... |

Downloaded this nice game last night...totally beats anything I've played before.

@bongzino: The P910...it plays in widescreen mode, you control the car with the scroller-wheel and speed is controlled via the up and down arrow on the touchscreen.
It's advisable that you have screen protector when playing this game because the action gets quite intense.

Not just any ol' strippers, boet, we've got imported strippers from Romania and Russia. The local lassies are a bit shy, jy weet mos...
Had a most terrifying call earlier, my mom telling me about my cousin being in a smash. Still at the hospital now while he's in surgery. Now what really bothers me is that my brother's leaving Cape Town tomorr morning at about 6am, another cuz is en route from Jhb right now, and my sister's driving down on Monday. I dread getting another call such as the one i received earlier.
On a lighter note, went to fill up the car this afternoon, only to discover they'd run out of petrol and diesel. Finally found a service station with some reserve fuel, filled up. As i was waiting for my change a tanker pulled in, loaded to the gills with fresh fuel. Man, those okes who'd been bemoaning the fact that they couldn't be served treated the dude like royalty! You'd have sworn the guy had been bringing tidings of great comfort and joy Possibly shades of Zimbabwe?
