Thanks Craig!
Right, guess I'll be following suit with the purhcase of a code.
I have emailed Orange about it, we'll see what they say... i'll prob get the whole stay with us for 3 months and then pay £20 for the code crap.
If it wasnt for the White X10 being exclusively for Orange I'd have stayed with Vodafone.
Still unsure abour debranding, I may wait until new software releases are out and see how long it takes Orange to validate them or whatever they have to do. If they take their time and new features are something I want immediately I'll consider it then. |

I think you will almost have to wait 3 months for the unlock code from Orange......good luck though
Regards

ok, so I've probably missed something here (and I've searched) but .... my X10
doesn't seem to be adding tags for face recognition ... any thoughts ?
It's a UK, unbranded version.
im actually having these same issues.... how are you fixing it? No matter what I do, i'm not getting name tags... and sometimes even when i get the name tags, im unable to associate a name with them. even though it allows me to select a name, it doesn't save the association.

Once or twice I have had to rename a handful, last time was a about two weeks ago and having just checked all the names are still there.
Once 'named' I don't see how it would forget. Strange issue.

@magoo .... mine was even more fundemental than yours ..... I wasn't getting the
tag at all (no unknown or anything ...) set the camera to normal scene and the
face stuff now allows me to select it .... I had presumed that auto would do it for me but no ....
told you I was getting old

I had my first screen scratch today
Although I removed the original screen protection 2 weeks ago... it had to happen, like on my W995 and my Aino
So nothing new with the X10 screen, what a pity, such a beautiful screen.......
this is a real stupid decision you made

so it's SE's fault that you removed the original screen protector? I'd say that's all your fault buddy....

so u put Martin Fields screen protector on top of the pre-installed screen protector?? Did u noticed whether it affect the screen responsiveness? I am getting my Martin Fields protector soon.......so wondering whether I should peel off the pre-installed one before applying the Martin Fields?? thanks |

Hey guys, I thought the X10 has a scratch resistant mineral glass screen! @ sambouka, sorry to hear that, how did you scratch it? When I get my X10 soon, I don't plan on taking off the pre-installed SP, but I didn't think I would have to put another SP on top also!

Ha ha you guys are funny. What makes you think the original screen protector isn't up to the job?
The screen of the X10 is arguably the phones best feature and it's amazing to look at - as attested in nearly every review. I hardly think SE are going to go to the trouble of protecting it with a second rate protector.
By removing it I'd say you're asking for trouble. The original one is factory fitted - perfectly. At least wait until the original one shows some wear n tear before risking removing it.
Sorry to go on.
