@Ericl How much did you pay for the crap ? You are not the only one buddy. I feel sorry for you. My brother's does exactly the same. I've toled him to visit this forum and ask for help but he could't bother. Send it back yesterday for a full refund. I strongly suggest you do the same.

Got my P990 today from Expansys and it crashes every 5 minutes. The only way I can get it to restart is to reinstall the firmware via SEUS. What a disappointment:-(

Sounds to me like your unit is faulty. I'd return it for a replacement. |

@ Masseur
Question for you. Are you still going for TyTn above P990?
Being that I live in the US and travel to Europe frequently, I was thinking the TyTn might actually be a much better choice for me, with the tri-band UMTS + EDGE + HSDPA + WiFi b/g, I'd be covered for high-speed wherever on the planet I might be..
What do you think? Happy with the TyTn? Is it doing everything you'd expect from the 990?
Thanks in advance for your answer! |

I contacted SE support. They told me they wouldn't help me as the 990 isn't yet released in the UK and they didn't know where Expansys were sourcing their stocks.

Hum......
Just noticed you can change the cache settings in opera to large cache. From the little time i have used the large cache, it seems the browser opens faster.....try it and see if it just me halucinating...... |

I'm going to get the P990i but it sounds to be short of how it should be at the mo. I'm goign to wait until they release an improved firmware by which point the price will most likely be lower as well. My P910i is still a great phone. |

I've also noticed that!
It helps a bit I think! from 20-25 to 10-15 secs startup.

Thats great then
I also see that no kernel 3 error appears when large cache is set. The broswer just shutsdown now hahaha! |

The fact the browser sounds to be so crap is very poor from SE. they need to sort it out and quick. |

i´m afraid you´re confused...the browser is great, much faster than P910´s...the only probleme right now is that it use too much RAM...
