first thing... no point to read it and get sad.
the microSD thing and 3.5mm thing have been complain by many. I can't be sure whether he highlight it before....but microSD as someone point out could just be the drive from major phone maker to have one unify standard which SE is commited to it. Since no one is using M2....you think SE have any choice when she is commited to one standard.
now I know EU is going to drive for having unify connector for phone...so if SE go for it.... will Eldar also complain? seem like he already plan to complain it.
then to make me feel sick on reading the articles is the fact is wrong.
SE do have a big factory at China. That is the plant they keep when Ericsson which eventually being SE sold all the mfg site to Flextronics and outsource most of their product to Flextronics to manufacture.
they still have that factory with them which is a known fact in the industry.
if who ever work for electronic industry they know most of the time outsource is better than doing in house mfg....since design always get condemn for everything...but of course outsource a poor design can also be bad to a company since the supplier will do whatever customer ask and ends up having quality issue etc etc even the initial project is the mfg cost to outsource is cheap.
the good thing about your post, is the fact that people (like you and many in here) appreciate the brand Sony Ericsson. i used to be one heck of a loyal consumer to this brand. the good'ol days of the T68, the T610, k700, the amazing p800 and the market frightener K750.
unfortunately, i'm no more fond to the brand, because i'm a consumer who wants to maximize the bang out of the bucks i'm putting on the table.
for god sake, apple got into the mobile market, and stole the show!!! it's like caterpillar gets into the light vehicle forray and beat Honda and Toyota in the game they excel in.
and thank you SE for not including the Exmor sensor in your stupidly named device (Satio).
some may blame sony for not supplying the JV with their highly sophisticated sensor. IMO, i think they have full right.... i wouldn't risk putting a good piece of technology in the hands of people with no strategy.

Is X2 going to use the new media player from Aino?
The best mobile phone brand died with Sony Ericsson's death. Shame on you Sony for killing it! And, of course, for ruining the Xperia brand... Mediar's Site |

Still not very fond of X2 design, but maybe specs will make me want one Prototype X1 had only 128Mb of RAM initially, if I remember correctly, so perhaps the 512Mb mark will be for the final product. The processor it's the same, and I was hoping for a better one, as someone here said prototypes were using Snapdragon ...
Keep leaks coming

I just have a bad feeling about the newest xperia device... It looks like the only hardware difference (well except the design of course) will be 8 mpix camera and windows 6.5. Qualcomm MSM7200 was introduced really long time ago... (I suppose there is "a" at the end (on the photo from few pages back) but it's not visible - 7200 without "a" is running at 400MHz so it has to be msm7200a - I'm disappointed) It reminds me a bit P-series and its immortal nexperia processor...
EDIT: I tried to compare dimensions of X1 and X2 in the photoshop (transparent layer) - and if they both are more or less the same size, we can expect 3,2'' at most - both screens dimensions are almost covering

Thank you Santa Claus for bringing some common sense into the discussion that tends to spiral into an immoderate rant every time a proto surfaces.

The C905 was announced almost one year ago (17th June). SE has a press conference on the same date this year, at Communicasia. Can we expect its successor? Anyone?

Err you actually believe Eldar in what he says?? The last time he blasted the C905 for using a cheap sensor. Anyways mobile@mail claim that satio has an emor and i believe them coz they were the first to announce facts about the C905. |
