Just because of the water resistant problem & look at Apple, iOS 6 Maps is a huge flaw to stop the sale.
T200 -> T68i -> T610 -> K700i -> P910i -> W800i -> P990i -> M600i -> P1-> Nokia E71 -> X1i -> X10 -> Arc S -> Sony Z1 -> Sony Z Ultra -> Sony Z3+ -> iPhone 6 -> iPhone 7 Plus -> iPhone X -> iPhone XS Max |

its better that way than to continue with a product with defects hands down to sony doesn't sacrifice quality on this particular device unlike some companies |

If it was another company they would have come out and said it was being splashed with the wrong type of water.
So, anyway back on topic. So I guess we can expect 4", 5" and 6" devices next year. I was just about to sell my laptop and buy a tablet but now a 6" phablet sounds like a worthy alternative. Big enough to watch movies on but small enough to go in my inside coat pocket.

Wait how can one compare a hardware defect thats one of its key selling point, to a software for which most of the people dont even buy a phone for? I dont see sony stopping the sales of their phone because of a problem in software, i.e. ui. I just bought an xperia go for my mom, overall very nice device and at a very good price. I might get one for my self too as a spare. But like every other xperia, even this has that issue of refreshing the home screen. Which is really annoying.
@goldenface,
imo, a tablet will not replace your laptop! You could maybe manage with a tablet or even a 5" phone/phablet for multi media and games, but it just wont have the usability of a windows/mac laptop. Imo, you could rather get hybrids such as vaio duo 11.

SONY is the only company who has the balls to come out openly and apologize and fix the issue.

Tablets would never replace a laptop as for a start off there ain't no proper connections. Just read the Tablet S review

And what about the H2 devices? The ones that will come with the other chip, not the APQ8064?

Sony Xperia handsets outselling BlackBerry and Nokia in Europe
The industry analysts at Kantar Worldpanel recently previewed their latest smartphone sales data and it appears to be good news for Sony in Europe. Whilst Samsung continues its dominance with 48% market share over the last three months, Kantar says that “Sony is making up for lost time with its Xperia series, outselling both BlackBerry and Nokia as a result of strong performances in Spain, Germany and France“.

I like the design (and potential low price) of Xperia J. However I wonder if Sony will release another phone (as a response to its rival) with the same design language within the next 6 months and come with better processor.
From the info on the internet, Xperia J will come with MSM7227A, which is single-core Cortex-A5 when some of its potential rival already in the market come with MSM8225 (and soon with MSM8625) which is dual-core Cortex-A5.
Any rumour on this low end smartphone? Thank you in advance. |
