You are quite right dogmann. You are entitled to say what you want unless it's abusive or off topic, it's a free forum.

On the text issue, I wouldn't be too concerned at this stage since all WM devices I've used to date support changing font size.

It's a long shot that the X1 will break from tradition here and actually hobble a standard WM feature.

Here goes some clarifications on the X1.

There will be a QWERTZ model.
X1a will be limited to 24fps video as stated in the whitepaper.
Screen orientation will be assignable to a softkey.

Thanks for the picture but unless it's actual size it really doesn't show anything really does it? As i said it's not how clear it is but how small it is and as the reviewer has drawn attention to it as well by saying it is difficult to read as it's so small i am waiting to see it it for real to know for sure. I also thought it was possible to change font size so will ask the reviewer why he didn't just do that. The font on the E90 had the choice of 3 sizes small, medium or large and that is a 4" screen and i used the large size which was OK. Again as i said the Bold has the largest choice of Fonts styles and sizes i have seen on any device and really is a great bonus to being able to read and see the text you are looking at clearly.

Hey, do we have now a definite release date (preferably SE confirmed) Yes or No. The shops seem to change the dates quicker then I can read

GREAT!!!!!!!!! Finally the truth.
You see, I agree with you

Well, actually I'm sad, some people were talking about a penta-band a true World Wide Whone. And maybe I'll get the UK version because it works with At&t where I live and has the 30fps.

That page says the land down under will get the X1a. That blows. Stupid copyright crap. Oh well looks like I'll have to get mine from somewhere else. I wonder if I've got a spare power plug adaptor lying around....

I have a question for my pommy cousins: I hate the dumb huge backspace / huge enter key and the location of the \\ (back slash) key on UK keyboards (ie. next to the Z). In Australia we use the US keyboard layout which gets rid of the unnecessarily large, two-line Enter key and puts the back slash there instead. Even worse is that one that has the small backspace and large Enter, and the backslash next to backspace. Grrrr. Can someone tell me if the \\ key is above Enter, or next to Z on the UK model of the X1i?

I can post a photo of the exact keyboard layout I'm used to but not right now, as my server is down because the electricity at home is off.

@l337h1um

the whole of Australia wont get the x1a. Only Telstra will as NextG runs on the 850mhz band.

All other networks (if they get it) will stock the x1i.

I know Telstra were testing it about 1 month ago. But they arent expecting it until late this year/early next yr. Though im assuming thats due to it being the x1a, which is scheduled to be released quite a bit after the x1i.

Sh!t dude, I hope you're right... I hate forking out over a grand to someone in Hong Kong...

I just put the Expansys UK price of the thing in to my Sidebar currency converter... I'd be forking out $1,400

I think I'll get the black one now, actually. See, if the display is surrounded in silver, it will reflect a lot of light into my face when I use it outside. The brightness of the display wouldn't be able to compete; the contrast between the silver edging and the display would make the display appear dim.

Hi pinguino2, thanks for the information...

but this is the 3rd edition released in May 2008 ?
and X1c is supposed to be the Chinese edition (which I think SE had dropped it), not Europe?
