WOW. The rumors are starting to pop up that Sony will switch to the SD 600 SoC for the Z and ZL because Qulacomm is discontinuing the APQ8064. The Z and ZL will be on par with HTCOne and GS4.

But how would they do that? I mean, will the people who buy the Z immediately after launch get a free upgrade? |

yeah i think with SONY Japanese morals as LEXUS when they recalled the first 10,000 LSs ever been made , to put enhancement to the seat belt , so i guess SONY 'll take mine and give me the first new 600 , this is of course if the rumors are true , which i totally doubt it |

Is this another screw-up by SonyMoblie?
ZL processor.
On the inside
Google Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean)
1.5 GHz Qualcomm MSM8064 Quad Core
A few days ago it listed 1.5 GHz Qualcomm APQ8064+MDM9215M Quad Core

Most likely a screwup. MSM means integrated LTE wich S600 does not have
Also S600 is clocked between 1,7-1,9 GHz |

Here is the confirmation that many have been waiting for.
Front glass on the Z is Dragontrail and the back glass is Gorilla Glass

Maybe someone who knows about glass can enlighten us further about why they would take the decision to have gorilla glass on the back. Could it be something to do with the IR reader on the Japanese model?
And do you think this is the same for the international model too? |

The explanation could be very simple. The displays were made in Japan and the company that makes Dragontrail glass in Japanese. The phones were assembled in China and the back glass of the phone was produced in China by Corning. |
