Smaller and smaller bezel is good new for future phones, only problem now is the top and bottom bezel, I know the new eye ball is suppose to save space around all dimension hope that will help. |

Sony sure did fix the mistake of not having an carrier support in the US. Z3 is coming to two US carriers within 6 to 8 week after announcement.
If it will be 6-8 weeks then ouch, that will put it into October or November, I feel that is a tad late.
For the lenevo, all well and good, the fact it is 7.7 mm and has a dual led flash and a 16MP shooter? The design is nice, thin bezels all around, it seems to mimic some xperia design language but is missing the IP certification. In addition on such a large device, one small tiny speaker on the bottom is not going to cut it. I like the camera software, hopefully it will live up to the video and offer great photos.
Is there a z3 ultra? from what everyone was posting here, the ultra is dead as it stands now, no ultra will be announced at ifa, only z3 line and the small tablet. As for this z3x device, maybe ces, but probably more likely at mwc. |

Is there's a possibility that Sony will align the smaller tablet in 1H while the larger tablet in 2H ?
I'm still hoping for Z4 Tablet along with Z4 in 1H15

No idea what they will do but if this is any indication

It will probably be shipping this year if it is on the Postel site.
I just checked the FCC, latest device is PY7PM-0382. the confidentiality expires in January 2015, the fcc label is inside the device, with a removable cover, but this is not a tablet, since they are marked differently and this device is labelled as smartphone in the docs. Probably another midrange device.

still remember what is playstation certified?
never mind it's practically dead anyway

I think it big mistake, Sony should keep develop more games on Android platform. especially casual game from good old PS day as it could possibly link to tablet and Android TV in coming future, Gaikai service probably take lead role here.
Only positive that I can think maybe they want to keep new PlayStation service exclusivity, only Sony devices this time.
And Vita is sort of dead end, barely sufficient battery that almost same as smartphone.
Why people that target for casual game need dedicate device when smartphone can fill the gap?

I don't think it's a mistake.
PlayStation Mobile was a barely functioning piece of shit.
Better to kill it and try again, with the vastly superior PlayStation Now.

Sorry but I highly disagree on this, I have a Vita slim, and the battery easily gives 5 - 6 hours of heavy gaming. Uncharted Golden abyss a game that pushes the Vita's graphical capability from a full charge takes 5 hours before I get the low battery sign on the Vita.
Running a similar graphic heavy game on a phone, I highly doubt you'd get 5-6 hours of continuous gaming (phones also gets too hot, unlike the Vita), well at least from my experience. On a tablet with a large battery it's possible to play more than 6 hours, but on a phone I don't think so.

The Vita is a good device. If you find a good games you will get addicted to it for months (e.g. Toukiden)
Also, the remote play function of the Vita is great. I managed to stream FFXIV from my PS4 to play in my PS Vita.
And guess what? I can even play my PS4 games at my relative's house by just using my PS Vita. Its a good device, but lacking of cheap casual games.

Nothing is wrong with the vita in terms of hardware.
As process nodes shrink and battery tech improves, newer iterations should have fantastic battery life.
The biggest problem is SCEA not supporting it properly, and Sony understocking it, so there aren't enough units available in places where the market has high demand.
I really hope Sony don't just ignore the vita in leu of the PS4. That thing seems to sell itself. It's a fantastic device that needs more support.
This is all way off topic though.....
So that z3 eh? What about that compact model huh?
Seems like there isn't much to talk about unless more is leaked or until September 3rd....
