Man, that's lovely! Is Sony's JB going to be just as smooth as these? Or is it worth waiting for Sony's JB when we already have these available?
[ This Message was edited by: mediar on 2012-09-30 20:23 ] The best mobile phone brand died with Sony Ericsson's death. Shame on you Sony for killing it! And, of course, for ruining the Xperia brand... Mediar's Site |

The smoothness comes from JB itself. You know; Project Butter, so yeah, it should be just as smooth. Given that ICS is pretty damn smooth on on my single-core XRay, I don't doubt JB will be smoother still.
Not sure how the triple buffering would work on a single-core processor with 512MB RAM.
Should be OK.
Also, you should already know about Obsolescence by Design, regarding the so-called "Fragmentation". |

@mediar
Although the XS, Acro S & ION have same 4.0.4 like the new Xperias T, TX & V, there is a difference...
Of course the new devices have on screen buttons, but also other features like the batterystatus in percentage on the statusbar... I miss it on my ION for example... I would love to see the on screen buttons on my ION as well. The touchbuttons doesn't work great and in dark you can't find them... :/

So Sony have TX as the regional variant of T. So why use AX as the regional (Japan only) variant of V?
It seems Sony Mobile in Japan still consider themselves a separate entity with Japanese handsets not appearing on the global Sony Mobile site and vice versa.
I have a dig bick You read that wrong |

It's because Japanese handsets usually have a few features that aren't in use in the west, such as OneSeg (TV), mobile wallet and infrared. =)
Currently NExus 4, but want Xperia ZR. |

I guess it should be noted that Playstation Mobile just launched today for various Android devices and the Vita. Here's a link to a thread with great info:

This was expected from a few weeks ago but definitely welcomed news.
Google needs to serious push this as a gaming standard for future android phones to be ratified against ... maybe even jumping in partnership with PlayStation Network and with Microsoft's Kenect for XBos 360 ... I cannot imagine Android users fully entrenched with Nintendo Wii.
Q: Which regions will have access to PSM at launch?
A: US, Canada, UK, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Japan and Australia

More about this hoopla about multiple Nexus devices:
http://androidandme.com/2012/[....]us-g-nexus-coming-in-november/
If true, it seems Google will allow each manufacturer some leeway in offering a custom UI which seems like it can be turned off and reverted to plain vanilla Android. If true, I don't see any reason why Sony wouldn't want in as they could still push their services ecosystem on the device. |

Yeah I thought so, as what stops Sony in the beginning ( SE time ) was that they couldn't compete from a hardware perspective, they needed to differentiate them self using software customization... Which Nexus doesn't have ( till now with 4.2 )
It was the same story as it had with Windows Phone 7, they couldn't compete because what they have was only a phone design, they can't compete with hardware or software that's why they didn't bring any WP7 device...
But, there's a problem, while they can now put their "Sony Experience" on any Nexus they can make, It will be hard for them at least for this time... why ? they make a huge investment advertising Xperia T and James Bond Movie... if they released an Xperia Nexus device this time ( End of October ) it will just affect Xperia T so badly...
plus not to mention that they're already having problem having both Xperia T and TX in all markets because of the S4 shortage... even some markets might get these in Q4 ( like Middle East, according to Facebook's Sony Mobile ME page ), so how about adding another device to the portfolio which might be a bigger hit for them...
So I guess If Sony really is working on Xperia Nexus, it will be a low chance. and Will be faced by big competition from the LG Quad Krait SuperSmartPhone... along with Galaxy Nexus 2...
But I'll be not surprised if Sony did manage to do the phone, and kept it a top secret ( like having it designed by separate team )... but I'll be happy with that...
