Does anyone know if the W800i will have the same activities menu as the K750i ?
Since the W800i does not have the same button, but a dedicated music button will the W800i even have this feature ?
If it doesnt, i wouldnt buy the phone for that reason alone.

Who knows etaab, unless you can get ahold of someone that has a pre release version.
I'd imagine that theres probably more focus media/music though than organisational features. I could be dead wrong though

It would be pretty crap if it didnt IMO.
Does the D750 even have the activities menu ? its middle button is a T-zones button..

Surely someone has some more news on this phone.
I'm trying to resist buying a K750 and wait for the W800 instead but the lack of news is making it frustrating.
Has there really been no more info/rumour on the release date? |

Tell me about it! I hate having to be so patient! Still nothing different on the SE site... they could at least start dropping some hints!! |

Since K750i is a huge success for SE I am sure they have their hands full making enough of them.. and since they still have some SW problems with it they wont release W800 before SW is working ok with K750.. since its basicly the same phone/SW. |

i think the k750i and w800i has the same interface...so no need to buy if you already have k750i

i think the music button thing on the w800 will go to music if you hold it, and activity it you just press it. i dont know though... it just seems logical that way. |

But if you don't already have the K750 there could be plenty of reasons to buy the W800i. |

Went into an Orange shop yesterday and the sales guy told me he believed it was in testing at the moment. If this is true does this mean it can't be far off (as I assume the K750 passed testing and it is identical from the point of view of the network). If it is true does anyone know how long the process takes.
On the other hand he could have just been talking out of his bottom, I tend to believe this might be the case.

w800? the w in the name is supposed to stand for walkman. as in THE walkman. but as it stands, it doesn't live up to its name. limited memory is one. if se wants to build a music player that has a phone, why not include a larger memory. sure there's an expansion slot, but ms duo's are rare AND expensive plus what if your listening mood changes and you left the stick with the music you crave? what then? i think it's better to buy a t610 or t630 then buy a mini mp3 player that also doubles as a USB flashdrive. it's more practical. the interface isn't compromised and you get to store more data. |

Strange assessment, what size memory would your mini MP3 player have? Somewhere between 256Mb and 1Gb, the W800 can take cards up to 34Gb (IIRC) in theory although currently 1Gb or 2Gb is the highest on the market. They may be quite expensive but you can get a fair amount of music on them.
It also means you're only carrying one device and it's much better than a T610/30. Much much better camera, better screen and so on.
I think you're mistaken. |
