Hello! New member here but been reading for a while.
I debranded my F500i yesterday and it worked right away!
I unlocked the phone first.
Then followed the instructions on totalserver.net
Everything works great in the phone!
Only dissapointment is i can no longer chacnge resolution for games to 176x220. So no more k700 games for me
On the other hand, many games are coming for k500 so |

How do you know if it's a service or data cable ?

Basically without opening the cable up its difficult to tell whether the cable will work or not.
If it says T28 on it then your in with a chance.
If when you use the totalserver software the phone doesnt get past the waiting to power on stage then its likely that the cable is not suitable for unlocking / flashing.

There is ALOT of views here from people who do not work for SE
Only SonyEricsson know how they determin who and who cant use the SE update feature. and wheater it uses CDA strings or IMEI numbers
Branded phones WIL NOT work with the SE online update feature and after debranding there are mixed reports of wheater it does and doesnt. Total Server DOES NOT guarentee it will work with the SE update service after debranding
Heres the story lots of people can and lots of people cant simple as. maybe SE changed there system and now blocks IMEI so old phones can be used on there service after debranding. IF your phone does not work with the SE update feature it is NOT total servers fault your phone is simply not compatible
Also this server Flashes 100% Original Flash files from the EMMA 2 Server so any feature on your phone after debranding is exactly the same as any SIM FREE SE phone.
ALso i see alot of claims from other servers around but just look at this list
Total Server is the:
First Solution ever to unlock T610
First Solution ever to unlock RSA protected phones without opening
First Solution to unlock K700i/K500/F500i/Z1010 and S700i
First Solution to Flash all these phones
First Solution to Debrand these phones
we do all the work and these other servers are always 3-4 days behind becuase they copy our methods |

I agree that TS is the best unofficial solution at the moment and you know I was doing a lot of support for TS on this forum, but for one thing you claim I have different experiences with.
Use version lower than 1.28 with R2L or R2AA files (not the new one R2AA003_RE29) and you'll be able to use SE US. And use it with version 1.28 and above with new R2AA003_RE29 files and you won't be able to use it with SE US. The same phone! I tried it on two phones (have bought credits from you 1397) and there are other guys here that can confirm this. THE PROBLEM was mentioned a few times here before (CDA).
I am telling this just because I want to tell what my experience was. And Murphy knows about this because I informed him about this and he said that he will work on this issue...
Also can you comment the issues with R2AA as SE removed it from EMMA because of some bugs?

it's definitely correct, your oberservation. At first: Great service from the TS-Team!
I was debranding using the 1.30-Client and noticed the CDA-Appendix "/0" - and - couldn't use the SE Update-Service anymore. After reading your posting, i flashed the phone *again* with the 1.27-Client and Procedure ("debranding firmware"), and had afterwards a R2L001-Phone without T9-Dictionary (a known bug in the 1.27-Client), but with an CDA-Appendix of "/20". Now the SE Update-Service worked again. I updated it then again using TotalServer-Client 1.30 with the Upgrade/Language-Procedure (not the "Repair/Debrand"-Procedure) to R2AA003 (because of the missing T9) and - there you are - the phone's firmware is R2AA003, i have a CDA-Appendix of "/20", SE Update-Service seems to work (wants to downgrade it again, i guess SE pulled the official R2AA003 back...) but i didn't get the errormessage "your operator blabla" again.
It looks to me, as if the "Repair/Debrand"-Feature (especially the default Language Files) of the R2AA003-Version are causing this CDA-Problem... As totalserver writes, these files are identical to the original ones, maybe that's one of the reasons why they stopped the official update procedure? |

@skyswoop
Same with me too, although I used version 1.30 of the client both times, all the latest R2AA files left me with CDA /0 and no update use. Then flashed with the "old"
decustomise_firmware.K7S file using the repair/debrand tab, then flashed with the "old" ZONE 1/EU_1 K7S/K7L/K7C R2L files using the upgrade/language tab.
Result - CDA /16 and update available to use. (not bothered about T9 cos i can only txt in english anyway)
Cheers,

Hello,
I have debranded my vodacrap 700i phone. I can't use se update. But you talk about CDA numbers. I can't see them in my phone.
This is what I see
R2AA003(I flahed it with TS 1.30)
PRGcxc 125821_EU_1_C
CXC 125 813 R1T
Customiziation
CXC125822 R2L001EU_1
Where do I have to look for CDA number.
And Skyswoop. What did you exactly do when you reflashed to R2L001. Does it cost a credit or was it just downgrading firmware.
I'm confused with all this information.
BTW. I bought a realy cheap datakabel(er t28) and I did the debranding due the battery trick. It works. The guy who sold me the kabel says that it was not a servicekabel. |

Hey guys. I'm new as poster here, but have been enjoying reading this forum for a long time.
Can anyone point to where I can get the 1.27 and 1.28 versions of the client? Also is any Swedish readers here, where in Sweden can I get a T28 Service cable?
Cheers

@bohr2003
This is what my software info looks like:
R2L001
prgCXC 125821_EU_1_C
LCD SW versions
Main Display
Current: 200406041
Camera SW versions
Camera
Current: 3.9
ITP SW version
CXC 125 813 R1T
Customization
CDA 102286/16 R2A
cxc 125822 R2L001
EU_1
The CDA number should be the first thing listed under the "Customization" heading. As you can see I have the /16 code and can use update service.
Cheers,

@anderz
Don't know about Sweden, but I got my T28 service cable from here:
http://www.mobilefun.co.uk/product/1918.htm
They deliver to anywhere in Europe for £4.50 which would bring the total cost to £14.45 which is about 189SEK at the current exchange rates.
Hope this helps,
