According to Phones4U as i walked in there to have a look. They said GS4 in UK delayed till 2nd May and there is NONE in the country at all. Unsure of what they say is true. EDIT: Just seen a Samsung stand in shopping centre they had working GS4 in white and oh boy it feels waaaaaay to light and cheap. And honestly the screen doesn't look any different from the Note 2. Sorry it's just over hyped. They wouldn't let me take any photos. Am being serious though it seriously felt cheap and too light. The screen to me didn't seem any brighter at full brightness than previous Samsung screens apart from GS3. One snap and it would break so sorry it's over priced plastic

Interesting. Samsung internal test: "Galaxy S4 is good, but not the best"

Yeah it seems most stock won't arrival until next week.
I've been told that mine will arrive at the end of next week.
Some guy on the radio was having a right old benny about not getting it today - calm down mate, it's only a phone
I'm sure another week isn't going to be too much to ask. |

Lol, nope, it certainly won't revolutionise the industry, no phone has done that since the Nokia N95 and Apple iPhone. One made us realise phones can be convergence devices, the other made smartphones far more consumer friendly.

The Samsung stand at the shopping centre which is a permanent feature there now said it's officially out tomorrow. She was trying to show me how features worked. I said i know how they work

Dead tired from my graduation and all the driving I've done today, my excitement for tomorrow isn't even there this could be partly due to an opportunity I've been presented by my parents today to further my studies in the USA in 2016, anyway that's a whole other discussion altogether, but days like this remind me how little phones and cars matter overall in life, so much out there.
Anyway, I'm sure my excitement will be back tomorrow, at least I'll be patient tonight, lol.

Lucky you Tsepz - many of us in the UK have to wait another week.
Tell me how it feels in the hand compared to the GS3. I know the edges are straight and not cured like the S3 - I'd be interested to know if it still feels comfortable to hold. |

Tsepz Dont u find it weird that you got one in your hands before some of your UK brothers. We normally have to wait a while here in SA.Congrats again and enjoy.Looking forward to a little review of sorts.Your thoughts are always welcome.

Thanks Rickster! This thing is BEAUTIFUL, I'm glad I chose Black as it works nicely with the chrome touches. The phone feels lighter than the GS3 , it actually feels almost as light as my GS2, I simply could not believe it when I tried it in store while waiting for mine to be brought to me.
So I'm now im home busy setting up mine now, as usual there is some heating up with everything syncing and so on. The display is INCREDIBLY smooth and very sensitive, what I'm not liking is the F-ING transitions, Samsung really over did it with them so what I've done is I activated Developer Options, this is now hidden in Android 4.2.2, but easily activated by going to Settings -click the More tab -go t About Device and then click Build Number 7 times, it will say Developer Options enabled then, Developer Options will then appear under Time and Date in the More tab in Settings. So I've made the transitions faster and now are now great, they were simply too slow in the 1.0x Animation Scale. UI overall is fast and smooth just like Note2 and S3.
As for how it feels in hand?
I can say it feels a little less comfortable than the S3 due to the edges not being curved, the whole "Pebble Shape" is gone, with that said, it still feels great in hand, it feels more stable and less likely to slip out your hand, so the straight sides have their advantage as I remember the curved nature of S3 did in the beginning feel less secure in hand. Overall it feels extremely solid, it really borrows a lot from the GS2, the design is very clean, and sleek, this thing is soooo thin, I can't believe they fitted all this in such a slim body.

Thanks will keep you updated, please drop me a WhatsApp as I lost your number when my GS3 broke. Very interesting that we got it the same time, this is exactly what I was saying about Samsung 's distribution being ramped up, it is literally launching globally today. VodaWorld are out of stock already, but many of the networks still have a little stock left, MTN Sandton had just one more left, the Voda stores I called either hadn't received stock or were sold out, got mine at Digital Experience's Samsung Store at Fourways Crossing, my guy at Vodashop didn't have any and neither did Cell C.
Here's a pic of all the accessories, box and phone. Icahn also confirm it is a 32GB I9500 Exynos Octa
