@etaab in most of the cases iOs multitasking is ok. But yeah, there are issues as you said.
Btw, battery is better in iOS in comparison with Android. And i'm not talking about running multiple apps in backgtound but just a specific app in foreground, eg: the browser.

Battery life in iOS can be stupendously amazing, well at least on the iPad. I took my iPad off its charger at around 9:30am this morning, I've been doing a lot of web browsing a lot throughout the day, running Facebook and Twitter as well, I've also received a whole lot of Emails and even briefly looked at my uni assignment before submitting it, it is now 3:30pm, battery is sitting at 90% 
At around 5pm I'm off to my uni lectures, that's a good 40min drive, I use my iPad to take notes and browse when I get bored, by the time I leave campus at around 10pm I should have around 70% battery left, by the time I get to bed at 1am, I will probably have around 60-65% left, it's RIDICULOUS! I wish smartphones gave this sort of endurance, it's even better than my Samsung Galaxy Tab10.1 which also has excellent battery life.

Them Apple products seem to last ages battery wise
When connected to a wifi connection!
With 3G running non stop it makes my phone last a day
I'm always browsing online or playing with different
Apps, Social networking and listening to music,
Music listening lasts like wifi

Possible a rumour but there is more evidence of falling demand for iPhone.
Japan Display, who make the screens, nearly went bust because a 'major client' cut it's order drastically.

In fact. I have seen this demand going down and more Android devices taking the demand. Even, the guys I follow on Twitter, are using more Android apps to tweet than iOS's.

With demand allegedly going down for the iPhone, that budget iPhone couldn't come soon enough for Apple!
Seems to me Apple's incredibly high margins and avg. selling price are under threat with iPad Mini taking up a large chunk of what was the big iPad's share, I'm sure the same will happen with the budget iPhone and normal iPhone.
Apple are in need of a whole new iPhone e.g. an iPhone HD with a 4.5-5inch high PPI display, 13MP Camera and some killer feature on top of iOS7, they need to revive the excitement around the iPhone.
