my SGS3 has never got hot or even warm. I guess I'm lucky.
Guys, i know is not the subject but let me show you all how Blackberries will look like in a few months. I received one being part of the Playbook dev community.

Maybe this needs a new thread but I bb has a lot of convincing to some before they get me. I have never owned one and won't easily buy at this point either.

Well as for getting hot perhaps some have hotter hands than others. The GS3 I had only got hot or warm when I held it at the bottom mostly whilst charging.

It looks very iPhone ish in design. Can you make calls on it?? Another video I seen of same device said you can't  nice screen though and I noticed it has slightly higher than 720p screen res

@ fbloise - not for me. I dont like Blackberry phones, the interface, the software, the hardware, the company. No hatred like my hatred for Apple, just not my cuppa.
The one inparticular looks like a very dull Android handset. Like a budget ZTE or Huawei.
As for my GS3 it gets warm but not silly hot. It happens most when im really pushing the phone running tons of apps especially ones which push the cpu, such as a game or HD video.
Just wish it had a Pureview camera..

Yes, I do agree. It doesn't live up to my expectation.
I did some comparison shots, GS3 camera against C901 & Nokia N8,
Even the old SE C901, could easily surpass GS3, in terms of pic quality.(saturation, sharpness, & color reproduction).

That bb10 device is a developer unit, the actual product will not look like it. Also, i think bb deserves to be in the top 3 position. I have a feeling they will surprise me with it when it releases. I have always hated bb, but I am giving a second look at them. They seem to be the next os i would look at..
Also as for the camera, it could get better with the software updates. Camera of s2 was improved after it got ics. So, maybe they will do the same when jelly bean comes out?

I think the S3 camera is very very good. Better than other 8mp units available, just not on par with Nokia.

Samsung new CEO says their software needs to be improved. I definitely agree with him. Hardware wise Samsung is king. Software wise they need some work. What say you?

Theres always room for improvement. Just comparing Sense to Touchwhiz we see how HTC have worked very hard on software.
However, HTC's software is much more bloated than Samsungs, so in that sense i prefer.. umm, not Sense but Touchwhiz.
EDIT: just going back to the camera points, heres my early efforts, indoors macro.

Hopefully i'll get round to posting some more efforts soon now i might actually get more than a couple of hours off work since ive worked 90 hours per week this past 6 weeks.
Im more than ready for a career change at the moment !
