@GUCCI.011, Boinng said it all...you seem to be missing the point completely.

In that case, yep, Quake is just the ports, ON THE OTHER HAND, Doom is a complete Symbian S60 game, NOT just a port.

Then the expectation is that the id Mobile team will be doing the DOOM 2 RPG for the iPhone after the finish with the Java and Brew versions. I expect well have an iPhone project every two to three months over the next year. |

There's a review of Need for Speed on the iPhone here complete with screenshot - http://arstechnica.com/gaming/reviews/2009/05/need-for-speed.ars - I bought this a few days ago (for 3.99) and to be honest the screenshot doesn't do it justice at all, it's superslick and smooth even on my 3G, let alone a 3G S.
It feels like a full console game, complete with video cut-scenes.

Engadget (and the Guardian) are reporting that even Nokia are working on an Android handset. I really think Symbian's at the end of it's days now, I think SE would do well to just drop it.
Although releasing Satio may be important for SE's bottom line right now, it's not got much of a longterm future IMHO.

NOKIA have been busy with Linux for years now, just because they MAY BE going Android doesnt mean Symbian will die, from what i remember NOKIA plan on making their high-end Communicators run Linux (Maemo or Android) ,and their lower and mid-range main stream smartphones will be based on Symbian, so IMO Symbian is nowhere near dying, it should continue to grow especialy outside of the USA, where the iPhones and Android devices are still expensive and NOT that popular.
