I need some help to upgrade my C902 to R3EA037, however after trying two different customize xml files (1208-5931 & 1201-0116) using a2 cda generator and uploading them using a2, everytime I go to SEUS the system tells me that there's no available update. This is what I currently have in my phone "Software info":
R3DA028
prg12041731_GENERIC_
AO R3DA028
EROM:1200-4341
SEMCBOOT R6A018
LCD SW versions
Main display
Current: 200712200
Camera SW versions
Camera
Current: 2.1
Video call camera
Current: 1.3
ITP SW version
1205-7539 1
Customization
1208-5931
1204-8246 R3DA028
ADRIATIC
Memory card: No file
found
Content version
PA8
Memory card: No file
found
Java SW version
JP-8.3.2
Text revision:
CB
Just in case this little bit of additional info helps, before changing my CDA to the current one, my phone had CDA 1234-5678.
Any help will be greatly appreciated ;o)

change cda to 1201-0116
rename customize.xml to customize_upgrade.xml and put to tpa/preset/custom
power up phone and wait few seconds
turn off phone and reflash with seus
thats all |

Okti,
Thank you for the information, but the steps that you describe is the exact same procedure I've been performing for the past few days... I have had created and uploaded a few different customize_upgrade.xlm files, containing either 1208-5931 or 1201-0116, and at the end of it, I always get the same "Update not available" in SEUS.
Would it be that I need to include a revision "version" for the CDA?
Below you will find the four files I tried with 1201-0116:
Try 1, and as generated by A2 CDA File Generator and typing 1201-0116:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<customization>
<info>
<cda-number>1201-0116</cda-number>
<cda-revision>RA</cda-revision>
<created-by>bboyzahid</created-by>
</info>
</customization>
-------------------------------------------
Try 2, and as generated by A2 CDA File Generator and choosing CENTRAL-EUROPE:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<customization>
<info>
<cda-number>1201-0116</cda-number>
<language-variant-name>CENTRAL-EUROPE</language-variant-name>
<created-by>bboyzahid</created-by>
</info>
</customization>
-------------------------------------------
Try 3, same as Try 1 and deleting <created-by>:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<customization>
<info>
<cda-number>1201-0116</cda-number>
<cda-revision>RA</cda-revision>
</info>
</customization>
-------------------------------------------
Try 4, same as Try 3 and deleting <cda-revision>:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<customization>
<info>
<cda-number>1201-0116</cda-number>
</info>
</customization>
I used all these variants, as I didn't know if any of these details would make a change to the way SEUS decides to upgrade or not. Anyway, nothing of the above worked, so I then decided to do the same as above, but using 1208-5931 instead. Still didn't work...
Any other suggestions???

0Kti,
For testing purposes, I just ran KulanKendi Client ver.2.01, did a Read Info, and got the following message:
Error: Unsupported Certificate Color!: 0x01
Contact With Reseller
Could it be that my C902 has the wrong firmware, that is preventing SEUS from updating it, even though it has a good CDA for doing it? |

you have certificate - BROWN (for developers only) and seus only reflash RED, thats why you always have info - firmware not available |

0Kti,
No wonder I was getting nowhere with my C902 update... Do you happen to know if KulanKendi or DaVinci or any other online Service Center can get this fixed?
Also, please let me know if RED Certificate Color means that is intended to be used only in a RED color device, or is it just a developer terminology that has nothing to do with the actual color of the unit. By the way, my mobile is BALCK color. Sorry for the dumb question, but I'm trying to get everything cleared up.
Tnank you ! ! !

I just had a live chat with DaVinci and they do not offer such service.
I'll keep looking, unless someone from this community knows how to do it, or a workaround solution.
Thank you 0Kti and the rest of ESATO community... |
